Talking to a neighbor about current events, and I asked if he ever found himself doomscrolling. He said, “Oh, I’ve stopped paying attention to the Mariners.”

Three games over three days on three different networks. This is @MLB at its finest. As Buddy Bell once told me: “You know why baseball is the greatest game? The people running it for the last 50 years have done everything possible to *#$& it up, and fans still love it.”
Weekend TV Schedule 📺
Two of our games this weekend have been selected for exclusive national broadcasts: tonight’s game on @AppleTV and Sunday’s on @peacock. Tomorrow’s game will air on Mariners TV.

MLB released a “channel finder” to locate where games will be shown for teams where it is producing the games. That’s helpful because it appears a @Mariners fan needs access to eight services to see every regular-season game, including four to see their first six games.
MLB fans are angry - and players and owners are, too.

Over the last three years …
Player A: 366 games, .282/.351/.420, 117 wRC+, 7.5 fWAR
Player B: 355 games, .291/.333/.445, 116 wRC+, 8.0 fWAR
Player A is Brendan Donovan. Player B is Bo Bichette.
Seattle got a very good, underappreciated player who can fill a number of roles.
If/when physical review is completed:
Mariners receive Brendan Donovan
Rays receive 3b Ben Williamson
Cardinals receive outfielders Tai Peete, Colton Ledbetter, pitcher Jurrangelo Cijntje and a Comp B draft pick.
The Mariners are indeed getting Brendan Donovan from the Cardinals in a three-team trade that will include third baseman Ben Williamson going to the Rays and pitching prospect Jurrangelo Cijntje going from Seattle to St. Louis, according to a source.
Griffey's leaping grab robs Albert Belle of homer
You could tell he was gonna catch it as soon as he paused and started running in place His instincts immediately recognized that it was playable. His footwork to detect the warning track, then knowing how many steps were required to meet and climb the wall with perfect timing...breathtaking.
Bo Jackson’s first career major league homer was a 475-foot shot that to this day remains the longest blast ever recorded in a regular season game at Kauffman Stadium. This seems like a good time to mention baseball wasn’t his best sport.
