@PestieW@Chumchu08391001 Happy 1st Birthday! So glad you were spoiled on your special day, as you should be. Sounds like you had an excellent day. Sending a hug from me and sniffs and licks from our 5 doggos. ππΎππΎππΎππΎπ₯πΎπ
Itβs my BIRTHDAY ππβ¦ Iβm
5! Mummy says iβm a middle-aged man in dog earsπ±
Weβre having a party later. Iβve already got my gifts. π .. even though it doesnβt show it on my face, I am excited, honestπ€ MAX THE NOT SO BABY DOG πβπ¦Ί
Hello, Neil. We have 5 doggos. Sami is an 11 1/2 yo Pit/Lab/Boxer, Buttercup is an 8 Chihuahua/Jack Russell, Lucy is a 5 yo Pit/Boxer, Natasha is a 4 yo Pit mix, and Hazel is an 18 month old Chiweenie.
I met my guy online in Oct 2003. Met in person the first time 12/27/2003. I moved back to Cali from AZ in Aug 2004. We then moved to NE Texas end of 2008. We're committed to each other and our doggos. ππ
Our family is a strong, tight, love filled, communicate always with respect type. Mom spent nearly every hour with Dad at the hospital, falling asleep across his lap with him holding her in the hospital bed. Even recovering he offers to make her coffee or care for her. She makes him special meals and ensures he is following his doctors orders. They make each other laugh, even though Dad has to laugh quietly because of his throat surgery.
Dad has cared for Mom without hesitation and Mom does the same.
They snuggle all us puppers and there are no raised voices, or disrespectful actions or comments. Ever. Just love. Even when they are apart their actions convey to everyone around their love and commitment to our family and each other.
Great relationships donβt happen because of the love you had in the beginning, but how well you continue building love until the end.
We should all strive for this type of love and compassion.
Sorry to hear about Jasper. It's never easy to lose a furbaby. We lost 2 last yr, Mei Mei (11) in July & her Grandma Tippy (14 1/2) in Oct. May your memories bring you comfort. Thank you for sharing him with us. We'll miss him. Sending a hug from me, sniffs & licks from our 5.π
Our beloved Jasper went for his final sleep this morning. Our hearts are broken. He was the centre of our world. A smile that guaranteed him sausages and lit up the world around him. He smiled until the end and did it his way. Iβm not sure how we live life without him. Sleep tight little man. ππ’π
So sorry you and Pax had to deal with that. Totally uncalled for. He knew he was in the wrong. That's why he ran off in a hurry. SMH. Wonder if they have video surveillance to turn him in. ππΎπ
Something we havenβt shared but still makes Mom angry!
While on the rental car shuttle at @BWI_Airport a man βbootedβ Pax. It was not a true, hard kick, but he intentionally made contact with his boot forcefully and pushed Pax - not once but twice. It was a kick of sorts. Mom was furious and yelled at him - βDonβt kick my dog!β The man responded, βI was going to but didnβt.β Implying he would have truly kicked a dog.
Everyone was exiting the shuttle and there was little room to move. Mom and Pax were waiting to get off the shuttle like everyone else, and Pax was blocking the manβs exit, just as other people block the exit of others waiting. The man, with no reason other than travelers frustration and true evil intent, kicked Pax. Would he have kicked a person? Unlikely.
Seeing Moms anger he grabbed his luggage and bolted off the shuttle. Mom, leaving her luggage on the shuttle, exited with Pax, trying to catch him, yelling she wanted his name, and his information, that it was a crime in Maryland to assault a service dog. The man ran from Mom, he disappeared around a corner and Mom couldnβt catch him, and a nice couple got Moms luggage from the shuttle before it left.
In all states except 4 it is a criminal offense to intentionally interfere with, assault or injure a service dog.
In Maryland, intentionally harming a service animal is a criminal offense. A person who interferes with, injures, or harms a service animal, or causes another dog to do so, is guilty of a misdemeanor. This could result in imprisonment and/or fines.Β
A person found guilty of harming a service animal can face up to two years imprisonment and/or a fine of up to $2,500, according to Maryland Code and Court Rules.
Additionally, the person causing the harm can also be held liable for treble (three times) the amount of actual damages suffered by the service animal's owner, according to the Animal Legal & Historical Center. This includes costs like veterinary fees, temporary replacement dog costs, and attorney fees.Β β¨
Pax was ok, it startled him and angered Mom. There are truly awful people out there, but truly good people too. Thank you to the nice couple who got Moms luggage and waited for her to return.
I've had to send two over the Bridge. Daddy Chompers on 2/2/22, Doberman/Irish Wolfhound, my lovebug, & protecter. I sent his daughter Mei Mei over 7/19/24. Both had cancer & 3 months before they turned 11. I stayed with both of them for awhile afterwards. Have their ashes.ππΎπ
Vet here, if you bring in your beloved pet for it's final time and you walk out of the room, we do judge you, the fear in that pets eyes when you leave it is worse than the actual euthanasia. I waive the fee for owners that stay. It's not often enough though.

I put our dog's meds in peanut butter or in a piece of Little Debbie Peanut Butter Creme Pies. I eat part of a cookie with my meds, so it's not on an empty stomach. With 5 doggos staring at me, I don't get much of the cookie, lol.
When I was younger I was with Mom through all her medical appointments and she held my paw when she got shots. Now, since Iβm older I get shots every month and check ups, she comforts me when I get shots - of course so does peanut butter!
Video compilation of Sampson happily getting checked at the vets and trying to get the peanut butter jar.
@ByChanceMorgans Mom says it must be a different DIL! π we can pre-order the book through Barnes & Noble, arrival date wonβt be until around Aug 26th which is our official publication date! https://t.co/RBZv0ZrOyy
"If you find a book you really want to read but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it."
~ Toni Morrison
....and we did!
Mom could have used this book when her journey started. We sincerely hope that this book will provide hope and inspiration to anyone looking for it, and also, simply an enjoyable read.
All 5 of ours are very loving. We have 3 big girls & 2 little ones. They range from 1 yr to 11 1/2 yrs old. Sami is the sweetest girl. She lost her sister in July & her Grandma in Oct. Buttercup is my ESA. We adopted our 2 pit mixes Lucy & Natasha in 2022. Got Hazel a yr ago.
