LGBTQ Families! Have you recently relocated from states like #Florida or #Texas because of anti-LGBTQ legislation? I want to talk to you! For a story. DM me! #LGBTQ#LGBTQFamilies#LGBTQParents
Be sure to check out the entire package by @cntraveler! They managed to pull together a great assortment of random-weird-cool attractions, which include everything from a taxidermy-filled bar to a neon sign museum. Huge thx to my editor, @meganspurrell_ for the opportunity! (4/4)
Excited to contribute a couple of pieces to this cool package on Roadside Americana for @cntraveler — a collection of random must-see oddities, restaurants, and other attractions to visit while road-trippin’. (1/4)

My other piece was on Bluebird Restaurant in Logan, Utah, the oldest still operating diner in the state! The century-old interior has barely been touched... but if historic buildings aren't your thing, they also sell 75 different types of chocolate, so there's that. (3/4)
(5/5) Good candidates will also have iconic facades/signs that Joel Holland can pay tribute to with his drawings.🎨And interesting, funny, moving, anecdotes I can write up.✍️Let me know your #Brooklyn spots in DMs! And pass on to your fav Brooklynites for recs #SmallBusiness
Exciting news for lovers of NYC's small businesses (and drawings of them!) Joel and I are working on a second book, and this one's all about... #BROOKLYN storefronts! But we'd like your help... What are your fav shops in the borough?? #smallbusiness#shoplocal (1/5)
"It is a national embarrassment that the United States continues to be the only developed nation in the world without some form of a national leave policy for new parents."
GWK's editor-at-large @ByDavidDodge's latest piece for @USAToday https://t.co/0yCtfStkYg @DoveMenCare
American families deserve better ‼️
Our longtime partner @ByDavidDodge of @GaysWithKids writes how we must continue the momentum of supporting all family structures by enacting policies inclusive of ALL parents, regardless of gender or birthing status 👏
"It is a national embarrassment that the U.S. continues to be the only developed nation without some form of a national leave policy for new parents, but there is one advantage to turning our attention to the issue so late in the game," writes David Dodge. https://t.co/ttVtIgsnLr
Been great and surprising to see the energy in Congress for #marriagequality but the truth is LGBTQ marriages are safe for now. 70% of the country supports it/there are no legal challenges. So YES protect LGBTQ marriages—but we need just as much energy in Congress for new rights.
My latest for @Newsweek. Regardless of what happens on #ElectionDay there will still be a chance for our current elected officials to do the right thing in the lame duck period and codify LGBTQ #MarriageEquality into law. But they can't stop there. https://t.co/HIIbxYftt8
Congress should ALSO turn its attention to enacting #paidparentalleave, something a majority of both parties actually agree on, and that will confer new rights and protections to LGBTQ families, not just enshrine old ones. #LGBTQ@DoveMenCare@GaysWithKids
