@11point7 Misty drizzle is very normal PNW weather...in March or early April. It's actually pretty rare this time of year. It's been weird this week in Seattle, too (cool and wet Tuesday, warm and sunny the last two days, now wet again today)
@truthtellernola@UWSoftball The entry period for non-grad transfers starts at the end of WCWS, lasts for 15 days. They can still choose their destination after that ends.
A lot of players (like Peschek) are announcing their intent to portal but can't officially do so until it opens
Of all the players on UW's roster, Peschek definitely seemed like one of the most likely transfer candidates. Star at Montana as a freshman, low-tier starter in 2025 for UW, got pretty buried on the depth chart in 2026. Best of luck to her wherever she goes
@Coach_Kucharski Sure, "Mr. Ball Knower"
(If Oregon's ace isn't out with an eye injury and/or St Mary's doesn't make one of the worst errors I've ever seen to tie the game late, there's a solid chance your season ends last weekend)
@Coach_Kucharski SEC-only schedule was tough. Non-conf definitely wasn't
Even when accounting for being in a very tough league (current SEC, Pac-12 for most of SB history), even the pitching-first teams that reach the WCWS usually aren't anywhere near that low
@coker_UDub I wonder how you legislate it out without completely getting rid of the way the DP works. Just a specific one that says like you can't have more than two separate pitching outings in one game, I guess.
@Coach_Kucharski It is pretty unprecedented for a team with an offense near the national average in scoring (4.75 runs/game is #167) to be in this position
