@googlefi@googlefi bills me when their plan doesn't work after "activating." After 3 days and 2 SIMs, one from #googlefi directly, still no service! I signed up for unlimited data, but they sent through only two texts a day. Ridiculous! Don't recommend this #scam to your worst enemies.

@googlefi sucks big time. Don't ever recommend it even to your worst enemies for their shitty credit. After four days and two SIMs, including one sent by #googlefi, I still get no data or text. Can't make calls! You started billing me claiming it's been "activated." What a #scam!
@suilee No, that was a different Metropark Hotel (since renamed), in Wanchai (see https://t.co/eAKlA6r5Nx). A young #HongKong#natseclaw protester pointed out to me earlier today: This hotel is located directly across the street from #VictoriaPark, meetup point of most #hongkongprotests.
Starkest contrast ever on #TiananmenSquare31Years: Vigil banned in #HongKong for the first time, whereas in #Taiwan the truth commission was recently renewed and fingered state police in a high-profile unsolved murder. More in https://t.co/kcgtT1BrNa

The most relaxing #antiEALB#antiELABhk protests #HKWAY823 evokes the Baltics' fight against Soviet 30 years ago. “What we’re facing isn’t dissimilar from the former Soviet regime,” HK Baptist U's Eastern European history prof Kenneth Chan told me:

@JeromeTaylor@AFP@rachelblundy @AdkinRoss On @lihkg_forum there's been debate over the pros & cons of flying the US flag, which is seen more often recently. The prevailing view is that Washington has a stake in #HongKongProtests due to the US-HK Policy Act.
Who needs the #PLA given #HKPolice has been a paramilitary force since after 1957 riots? Also, problem with cops using excessive force in #antiELAB are symptoms of no accountability to the people it polices and little oversight. Experts told me: https://t.co/VV1eJEf0GU
Having watched struggles across the world, globally-aware young #HongKongers take on #Beijing, prepared to be “playing the long game.” The #antiELAB movement has morphed into a now-or-never battle for their homeland. My #AlJazeera story https://t.co/inCErHuNQQ
#HongKong police fired tear gas on #noextraditiontoChina protesters -- from behind -- as they retreated along the harbor front promenade toward Central. Unlike during #OccupyHK in 2014, the tear gas this time tastes a bit sea-salty.
Adieu to #cnecountrytwosystems? Once passed, #HongKong national anthem bill may set the precedent for more #China laws to “sooner or later be fully applicable" here, told #AssociatedPress
