If we want to rejuvenate football we need to curb the over reliance on stat padding and G/A.

EPL as a case study; after GW3 Bruno has 4 G/A and he’s been only decent in only 1 game.

Cherki & Ødegaard have been better in all 3 games but if for instance the league ends today Bruno will have a higher chance to win the best player.

Same goes for Ballon D’Or, we need to always look at the bigger picture and if we do this, defenders and GKs will have chances to win the ultimate awards too.

Man came from the 4th division of Brazil for €8m as an 18 year old, joined us when we were at our lowest point and went on to score 68 goals for the club and provide 38 assists.
