More than 14 months have passed since the leaders of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) were detained under fabricated and politically motivated cases. Throughout this period, state institutions have continuously employed various tactics to prolong these cases, first under 3 MPO (Maintenance of Public Order), followed by a series of false FIRs, then an unending cycle of remands, followed by shifting the case from open court to a jail trial, and now transitioning from a jail trial to a video conference trial. This clearly demonstrates that the current procedure is by no means suitable for obtaining justice.
Court proceedings that should have been conducted openly in a courtroom were first shifted to jail premises, limiting public access and scrutiny. Now, a recent court order has moved these proceedings to an online format, further restricting transparency and raising serious questions about the fairness and openness of the judicial process.
During the jail trial, the judge openly and repeatedly threatened the BYC leaders to remain silent, explicitly stating, "Compromise before the agencies, or else you will stay in jail for the rest of your lives." Despite this, the leaders of BYC continued to protest against the judge's behavior and urged him to find the moral courage to fulfill his duties. It is precisely to avoid facing this moral courage that the trial has now been shifted from the jail to an online platform.
In resistance to this oppression, the BYC leaders have started a protest inside the jail and have refused to appear for the online trial. To connect this protest with the world outside the prison walls, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee announces a three-day global online protest to raise awareness about the continuous detention of the leaders and the restrictions placed on transparent judicial proceedings. The objective of this protest is to highlight the importance of a fair trial in an open court and to demand accountability, transparency, and respect for fundamental legal rights.

𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀

End online and jail-based trials and restore open courtroom hearings so that court proceedings are conducted in a transparent manner and remain accessible to the public.

Replace the Presiding Judge and appoint a new, impartial judge to hear this case, as the current judge, Mobeen, has shown state bias from the outset of the proceedings. The application filed by the detained BYC leaders seeking a change of judge must be heard immediately, and a new judge should be assigned without delay.

Stay all judicial proceedings related to this case until a new judge is appointed and open courtroom hearings are restored, ensuring that the trial is conducted fairly, transparently, and in accordance with the principles of justice.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀

A fair trial is a fundamental right. Justice must not only be done but must also be seen to be done. When court proceedings are removed from public view and shifted to jail premises or online formats, public trust in the judicial process is weakened and concerns about transparency naturally arise.

Baloch Yakjehti Committee is launching a 3-day webinar series to raise urgent concerns about transparency, fair trial rights, and judicial accountability in the ongoing proceedings of detained BYC leaders.

Day 1: The Rule of Lies in the Name of Law
Narratives, Criminalization, and the Manipulation of Justice

This session will examine how legal and political narratives are constructed to justify the suppression of dissent and political organizations. It will explore concerns surrounding the use of legal processes, allegations, and public discourse to criminalize activists and political activists. The discussion will assess the relationship between law, power, and accountability, and consider how misinformation, selective enforcement, and politicized legal actions can undermine public trust in institutions and weaken the principles of justice and due process.

Day 2: Why Does the State Fear BYC?
Dissent, Mobilization, and the Politics of Suppression

This session will explore the growing influence of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee and the state's response to its political and social mobilization. It will examine broader questions concerning dissent, democratic participation, and the limits of political expression. The discussion will analyze why grassroots movements often face heightened scrutiny and restrictions, and what this reveals about the relationship between citizens, political movements, and state authority. Participants will also consider the implications of such responses for democratic governance, civil liberties, and human rights.

Day 3: The Politics of Identity and the Fight for Existence
Representation, Marginalization, and Collective Resistance
This session will examine the role of identity in shaping political struggles and demands for rights, recognition, and justice. It will explore how questions of ethnicity, culture, history, and belonging intersect with broader issues of exclusion, representation, and state policy. The discussion will focus on the experiences of marginalized nations and communities and the ways in which collective organizing, advocacy, and resistance emerge in response to political and social challenges.

This series will bring together legal experts, activists, academics, and political voices to discuss the challenges facing justice, democratic freedoms, and human rights, while exploring pathways toward accountability, transparency, and meaningful political participation.

One year has passed since Sibghatullah (Shaji) Baloch, Dr. Mahrang Baloch, Bebow Gulzadi, and Bebagar Baloch were placed under enforced detention. Three hundred and sixty-five days of silence, unanswered questions, and ongoing detention — affecting not only them but also the countless people whose voices they represented.

گل زادی بلوچ

یہ تحریک اپنے دامن میں اُن کرداروں کو خود جنم دیتی ہے جو اس جدوجہد کے ساتھ مکمل خلوصِ نیت سے وابستہ ہوتے ہیں اور اپنے تمام جذبات، خیالات، خواب، حتیٰ کہ اپنی زندگی اور ذات تک قوم کے نام وقف کر دیتے ہیں۔

ایسے بے شمار کردار اس تحریک کی تاریخ میں پوشیدہ ہیں جن میں سے ہزاروں کو ہم نہ جانتے ہیں اور نہ ہی کبھی دیکھ پاتے ہیں۔ وہ وطن کی محبت میں اپنے لہو سے ظلمت کے اندھیروں کے خلاف امید کے چراغ روشن کرتے ہیں، خود کو نئی صبح کی روشنی کے لیے راکھ کر کے ہمارے لیے اُمید کی نئی کرن چھوڑ جاتے ہیں۔ ہزاروں بے نام وطن پرست اس جدوجہد میں زندانوں کی نذر ہو جاتے ہیں اور زندگی و موت کی کشمکش میں آخری سانس تک ہماری بقا کی جنگ لڑتے ہوئے ٹارچر سیلوں اور جعلی مقابلوں میں شہید کر دیے جاتے ہیں۔

ایسا ہی ایک کردار میں نے اپنے ابتدائی سیاسی سنگت میں دیکھا۔ اس میں نہ ذاتی مفاد کی خواہش باقی تھی، نہ آرام دہ زندگی کی طلب۔ تعلیم، حسرتیں اور رشتے سب کچھ پیچھے چھوڑ کر اُس نے صرف وطن کو چنا تھا اور وطن کے خوشحال کل کی خاطر بلوچ قومی تحریک سے وابستہ ہو گیا تھا۔ خصوصاً اُن حالات میں جب بلوچ نوجوانوں کو جبری طور پر لاپتہ کرنا اور اُن کی مسخ شدہ لاشیں پھینک دینا ریاست اور اس کی فورسز کا معمول بن چکا تھا۔ جس دوست کے ساتھ چند لمحے پہلے آپ بیٹھے ہوتے، اگلے ہی لمحے اس کی گمشدگی کی خبر سننا ایک عام واقعہ بن گیا تھا۔

مگر وہ ان تمام حالات کے باوجود ہمیشہ نئے جذبے کے ساتھ ساتھیوں کو حوصلہ دیتا اور کہا کرتا تھا:

"قوم ظلم کا شکار ہے، مائیں اور بہنیں سڑکوں پر گھسیٹی جا رہی ہیں، نوجوان مارے جا رہے ہیں، ہمیں ہر حال میں آگے بڑھنا ہے، لڑنا ہے اور آواز اٹھانی ہے۔"

آج قومی تحریک کا وہ نڈر سپاہی، نظر مری، ریاستی ٹارچر سیل میں قید ہے۔ گزشتہ سال اگست میں ریاستی فورسز نے انہیں جبری گمشدگی کا نشانہ بنایا اور تاحال وہ لاپتہ ہیں۔ ہمیں یقین ہے کہ ہزاروں بلوچ لاپتہ نوجوانوں کی طرح نظر مری بھی دن رات غیر انسانی تشدد کا سامنا کرتے ہوئے بلوچ قومی بقا کی جنگ لڑ رہے ہیں۔

نظر مری ایک ثابت قدم اور مستقل مزاج سیاسی کارکن ہیں، جو عام حالات سے لے کر ریاستی کریک ڈاؤن تک اپنے نظریے اور قومی وفاداری پر ڈٹے رہے۔ جب سڑکوں پر ریاستی فوج پرامن مظاہرین پر گولیاں چلائی جا رہی تھیں اور چوراہوں پر بلوچ جوانوں اور کمسن بچوں کی لاشیں پڑی تھیں، تب بھی وہ ہر مظاہرے اور دھرنے میں پیش پیش تھے۔ ایک مخلص اور مضبوط سیاسی کارکن میں جو خصوصیات اور صلاحیتں درکار ہوتے ہیں، جو اسے سیاست کے کٹھن دور میں بکھرنے یا سمجھوتہ کرنے سے بچائیں۔ وہ تمام خصوصیات ان کی شخصیت میں موجود تھیں۔

سنگت نظر مری کی طویل جبری گمشدگی اس بات کا واضح ثبوت ہے کہ وہ اپنے سیاسی نظریے اور قومی وفاداری کے عہد پر قائم ہیں۔ قومی تحریک سے غداری نہ کرنے کے سبب انہیں اس جبر کا نشانہ بنایا گیا۔ انہوں نے آزاد زندگی میں جس طرح دن رات اپنے سیاسی اور قومی فرائض انجام دیے، اسی طرح زندان میں قید ہو کر بھی ہر لمحہ وہ ریاستی جبر کے خلاف جدوجہد کر رہے ہیں۔ ہمیں یقین ہے کہ تشدد اور قید و بند انہیں کبھی توڑ نہیں پائیں گے۔

ہماری دعا ہے کہ ہر بلوچ جبری لاپتہ فرزند کو اللہ تعالیٰ ہمت، صبر اور استقامت عطا فرمائے اور وہ ریاستی ٹارچر سیلوں سے زندہ و سلامت واپس لوٹیں۔

Dilawar Khan, son of Lal Bakhsh, a resident of Nodz, Turbat, was a lecturer at the Sub-Campus of the University of Balochistan in Kharan.

On the morning of March 4, 2026, Dilawar Khan and his colleague Bilal Ahmed, son of Ghulam Jan and a resident of Panjgur, were attacked by a state-backed death squad in front of the Sub-Campus Kharan. As a result of the attack, Dilawar Khan was killed on the spot, while Bilal Ahmed was severely injured. He was initially shifted to Sheikh Zaid Hospital in Kharan and later transferred to Quetta due to his critical condition.

This incident highlights the continuing pattern of targeted killings in Balochistan, where civilians, including educators, are increasingly facing threats to their lives and security.

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) strongly condemns this act and urges the United Nations and international human rights organizations to take urgent notice, investigate the incident, and ensure accountability for those responsible under international human rights law.

بلوچستان پچھلے کئی سالوں سے ریاستی ظلم و بربریت کا شکار ہے جہاں آئے روز بلوچ نوجوانوں، بوڑھوں اور بچیوں کو جبری گمشدگیوں کا نشانہ بنایا جاتا ہے۔ جب ان گمشدہ افراد کے اہلِ خانہ اور خاندان اس جبر کے خلاف احتجاج کرتے ہیں، جو کہ کسی بھی معزز شہری کا بنیادی حق ہے کہ وہ اپنے پیاروں کی بازیابی کے لیے احتجاج کرے، مگر اس ریاست کے اندر باقی قوموں کے مقابلے میں بلوچ کے لیے ریاست کی جانب سے الگ قانون لاگو کیا گیا ہے۔ بلوچ اگر اپنے پیاروں کی بازیابی کی بات کریں تو اسے ملک دشمن اور مختلف اقسام کے الزامات لگائے جاتے ہیں۔ اس بات سے واضح ہے کہ اس ریاست میں بلوچ قوم کو حق اور انصاف کی بات کرنے کی اجازت نہیں دی جاتی ۔
