Sikhs may not be responsible as a group for British Police Diversity culture, but along with other non-white British groups, they benefit from the two-tier system, as evidenced by the Henry Nowak tragedy where claims of a “racist attack by some white fella” led to Police taking the word of the perpetrators over their dying victim. And, after the fall of Singapore in 1942, Sikhs were very much represented amongst the 20-30,000 British Indians who went over to the Japanese side, joining the Indian National Army, and fighting against the Allies.

@pwafork If I recall correctly the State purchased about ten large cattle properties. Paid too much for each, mismanaged, then all were sold at a a huge loss by 1930.

Early last century the Queensland Ryan Labor Government opened State-owned and run Butcher Shops across the state supplied by a State owned and run Cattle Stations. The entire operation failed with the shops closing and the cattle properties being sold at significant mark downs.

One of the three murdered in this cowardly attack that Ben Roberts-Smith was the first to respond to, was Rick Milo Milosevic, from my little home town of Quilpie, way out in Southwest Queensland. A memorial, built in iron, sits a on a rise east of the town. No politician of note has visited.
