// You may not realize it, but you kind of are asking for a little too much when considering the current state of the RP community. Making a plot between characters that are based purely on their profile isn't actually as easy as you might think because it requires some thought. You also need to think of a way on how the roleplay can realistically go on for that long.

This also makes the assumption that your roleplay partner is 100% active. Which I'm sorry to tell you guys, but it's significantly more common for you to be ghosted then to even get halfway into the RP. People prefers ERP because they came into the discussion for an ERP scenario with 2 characters.

This isn't even getting into the fact that two roleplayers may be playing as drastically different characters from a tone perspective if you accept crossover/multiverse shenanigans. It's not easy to make a plot between Palutena and Pomni.

I typically prefer to just go with the flow and treat other people's DMs as more of a location that my characters interact with.

I actually think having dedicated set up plots are very boring most of the time. I see my profile as just acting in character and interacting with other characters who's available.

Let me be more specific. Not every character is going to be compatible with a plot. In many cases we have crossover scenarios between characters. And I'm sorry, but Byleth and Pomni from Digital Circus are drastically different in tone and properties. Making it hard to make a plot with them that doesn't sound non-sensical. So I'd much rather just interact with them casually and get to the ERP aspect.

To top that off, making plots aren't easy. Depending on what you're working with, it can take a decent amount of time out of your day. So when the individual ghosts them, it can genuinely be a pain in the ass. Which is very common in the roleplay space due to how it's supposed to function.
