@DrAndrewSchwarz Successful change management has more to do with managing the people than managing the policy. Employee network and relationships are as important as anything else. Without the people on board, change is dead in the water.
@DrAndrewSchwarz This course has completely changed my understanding of IT. They are no longer the guys and girls who fix my computer but the team who keeps our business running and growing. I NOW view IT as a strategic asset which is critical to our business process and ultimately our success.
Did a case study for my #LSUMBA on OTIS which used a very impressive information system called“Otisline” to improve their business process... didn’t realize the elevators at the hospital were made by OTIS until today. @DrAndrewSchwarz

@DrAndrewSchwarz I believe they didn’t upgrade their POS because there was a lack of integration between the business leaders and IT. There was not a chief information or knowledge officer to aid Salgado in business decisions related to Zara.
@DrAndrewSchwarz Otisline avoided complacency. Every move they made was a proactive move to gain share rather than a reactive move to play catch up. They were Leaders not followers.
@DrAndrewSchwarz Recently, when I watch a tv show, adds for the show pop up on my Facebook, if I look at shoes on Zappos, those shoes then appear in an add on my FB. It is concerning how much information about me might be available w/out my consent, based on my searches. @DrAndrewSchwarz
@DrAndrewSchwarz I fear I rely too much on my iPhone. I have important phone numbers and passwords written down. On the hurricane note, cash is king. I have started keeping cash on hand for when ATM’s and credit card machines are down. I previously used plastic, never cash. @DrAndrewSchwarz
I find it fascinating/ frustrating how companies use IT barriers to make it difficult to switch brands. I tried to switch from iPhone to Android. pictures, music wouldn’t sync, even “I messages” would not come through when customers were trying to text. @DrAndrewSchwarz
After reading case studies this week for BADM 7050, #lsufloresmba I am amazed at how far technology and IT have enhanced business processes from the late 1960’s to now. There are a bunch of things I have never considered until now. @DrAndrewSchwarz
@DrAndrewSchwarz IT is who I call when I’m in a bind. Typically they remote in and I rely heavily on them to resolve issues quickly so that I can continue my work. That being said, I am looking forward to increasing my knowledge so I am more self sufficient and able to troubleshoot on my own.
