I'm not a leading MMT economist, although I am MMT and PhD. I try to extend the MMT frame of Mosler/Wray/Kelton/Mitchell to as many as possible. The greatest barrier sometimes is when people I speak to feel MMT advocates have been rude to them.
Please be polite whenever you can.
It is a necessary function of universities in civilised countries to provide a forum for ideas governments dislike. When governments seek to prevent this, they are threatening the survival of democracy.
We should talk more about how the dominant approach of capitalist economists to controlling inflation is to periodically throw hundreds of thousands of people out of work and into misery. This is what passes for "economic stability" and it is madness.
The Australian and the Australian Financial Review are scared of us.
They are.
Can't wait to see what nonsense about MMT they publish next.
First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, and now they are fighting us...and then we will win.
We have a Q and A session planned with Warren Mosler on 8th/9th November, depending on where you are in the world, which you are welcome to attend.
It is a free event, but please register if you are planning to come, so we have some idea of numbers.

'As I watch the fires blazing in Hawaii, I’m constantly asking myself: when will Australians – who live on one of the most fire-prone continents on Earth – get a grip on this escalating global problem? How many more warning signs do we need?'

@m_ou_se We appreciate all you do for Rust. However, looking after yourself is the most important thing for you to do. Take the time you need. For some of us you are more valuable than Rust.
@remblance_erin@ChristineMilne@AlboMP We should be having a conference like this in Australia. In Canberra. We would be happy to participate and help organise such an event if parliamentarians would sponsor it.
Suspicious how everyone blames the rising cost of a burrito on workers getting a $1 raise but not the fact that CEO pay has gone up 1,322% in the last 43 years.
Last year Chipotle gave its CEO a $24 million raise and paid him 2,898x more than their median employee.
@FFaySinclair @wdfpodcast Fay, we will never meet, thank you for being brave and sharing your terrible ordeal made worse by those who should have helped. Zach thank you for sharing, we need everyone to know what happens and to take action. @TamePunk
@Rosdottir@TaniaWalker Your estimate of the damage done by using some Blockchain DLTs may be correct, however if someone asks about NFTs on Hedera Hashgraph its carbon footprint is orders of magnitude less. Different underlying process and it is proof of stake not proof of work.
