This international research team, led by Valerio Carruba of São Paulo University in Brazil, wrote that at least three of the asteroids — 2020 SB, 524522 and 2020 CL1 — that circle the sun in tandem with our twin planet have unstable orbits that take them dangerously close to Earth.

🚀 They made it back🌍!

I’ve been casually following NASA’s Starliner astronauts, Sunita “Suni” Williams and Barry “Butch” Wilmore, like some of you have, and honestly, I was a little worried about how long they were up there. Many of us learned from the sidelines, that their space mission was only supposed to last eight days, but due to technical issues, they ended up staying over nine months aboard the ISS. That’s wild😮!

Finally, they safely returned to Earth today, splashing down off the Florida coast—on a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule, no less! Just imagine signing up for a short trip and then getting an extended stay in space🛰️.

I don’t know about you, but stories like this remind me how unpredictable (and fascinating) space exploration is. Awesome to think how far technology has come!
