@RateYourCharge , this is now an old pic, but the EA site in Louisville, KY has been online since July 10th (after 13 months of waiting)! All 150kW units, one still offline. All others work well, pushing 153kW. Plug-and-charge took a few days to work properly but is now fine.
This EA station in Louisville, KY was installed a year ago (June 2022), and is still offline. Workers were onsite again in April, and utility has installed a power meter. So, @ElectrifyAm, what's left be done? When will it be ready? @RateYourCharge
@Frank36390754@RateYourCharge@ElectrifyAm Okay, transformer is definitely there, and given the amount of graffiti it has accumulated, it has been there for a long time.
@dbsb3233@brandenflasch@Eric_L_Roe@ElectrifyAm@RateYourCharge A rep had mentioned back in March that it was waiting for a part. Installer crew came out a month later and spent 2-3 days working on it, they looked fully equipped. Would be pretty disheartening to have it just be swapped out again, this area needs DCFC soon.
@Frank36390754@RateYourCharge@ElectrifyAm It would appear so, the installation crew is gone, on-site porta-potty is gone, and I don't think they'd allow the utility to install a power meter unless all of the voltage conversion equipment were in place.
This EA 350kW charger station in Louisville, KY was installed in June of 2022. Yet 9 months later, it's still completely inactive save for some graffiti on the transformer cabinets. @RateYourCharge, @ElectrifyAm, is this normal?
Hey @myIncipio, your Galaxy S23U case outer piece is insanely slippery. I've dropped my phone more in 1 month than in your older cases for the last 2 years! What happened to the nice rubberized back? I had to CNC a pattern just to make it stay in my hand! @Sain_Smart
@ElectrifyAm Thank you! This is useful information! It's just been disappointing to drive past it all the time as it deteriorates from the elements with absolutely no use.
@dunedragon@RateYourCharge@ElectrifyAm Holy cow, that's nuts! Installed 18 months and no service? I can understand the hangups, technical and procedural, but without any transparency, it's a mess to behold.
@comeaujo@RateYourCharge@ElectrifyAm Agreed that deployment has been slow here, but if this particular station went online, it would do a fair bit to help the main population centers.
@BensEcoAdvntr @RateYourCharge@ElectrifyAm Would make a fair bit of sense if true, but communication from EA has been pretty mum - just "spring" has been mentioned. Would be nice to have a timeline or some transparency - any at all.
To be totally clear here, these are 6 completely useless 350kW stations in a charging desert in this area. With graffiti on the transformers. 8 months installed and not one electron has moved. Fix this, @ElectrifyAm .
This @ElectrifyAm station was installed in *JUNE 2022*
before the IRA was passed, and has been sitting totally offline since, in East Louisville, KY. Are we waiting for government handouts post-fact, EA? This only slows EV adoption. @RateYourCharge
@MercedesBenzUSA, @MercedesBenz, I'm a lifelong MB fan because of world-class engineering and safety. W124 and W140 epitomized "Das Beste oder Nichts." So disappointed to see MB EQ potential locked by a $1200/yr subscription. It's affecting purchase decisions!
Halloween 2022 brings with it a CandyBot v3.0! Visitors need only swipe, while they get a live feed of their candy being picked up from the conveyor, deposited into a funnel, and then dropped into a waiting basket - all automatically! #nerdscandy, collab or sponsorship? :)
