Milton viaduct designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel…

The Cornwall Railway link from Plymouth to Truro was finished in 1859, the Viaduct at Milltown, just south of Lostwithiel stands 23 metres high and spans 153 metres on 7 piers, the viaduct was replaced by one of stone in 1894

Then transferred to workshops on the area now know as Brunel quays to be preserved and cut to size.

It is said that the offcuts from the timbers used for the viaducts and track were then used for the construction of the railway's buildings alongside the river at Lostwithiel
