@timesnewemma I feel like I've tried all of the various styles (8 kids) and my go to is a generic ring sling from Amazon. Simple and easily adjustable and low footprint in the diaper bag/stroller compartment. Second place is a mei tai style carrier.

@HansFiene I have had good luck with the "product of Italy" noodles at Aldi. And their bread with no enriched wheat in it, just normal wheat. There's an organic boule and an Italian loaf that I seem to tolerate pretty well.

I am reminded that one of the really, truly great things about my local congregation is that they are so patient, understanding, and encouraging to parents of littles (and bigger kids with special needs) trying to make it through the Divine Service.

@timesnewemma if we have to leave the pew: keep singing/saying responses/participating as much as possible the whole time. First up the kid and walk around the back of the nave behind everybody for a little change in scenery, then carry around the narthex, diaper change as last resort.

@serenitynow No female suffrage also doesn't particularly bother me - just an interesting difference. In the LCMS, individual congregations decide how/whether to limit female suffrage.

@serenitynow That seems to be about exactly where most Lutherans land on WELS vs. LCMS 😄 I took a class at CUC that established that the Holy Ministry issue matters and the LCMS is right, but it was so long ago I don't remember the particulars 😆

@serenitynow I personally would avoid WELS because I feel strongly that confusion about the Office of the Holy Ministry is a big problem and a recipe for disaster. Interesting facts that might be relevant: The WELS ordain male school teachers; and there's no female suffrage in voters mtgs

@serenitynow My grandparents were WELS, but my mom switched to LCMS in high school in youthful rebellion. My experience is that, important doctrinal issues aside, in practice most WELS are functionally LCMS (my family/their pastors always prayed with us LCMSers)-Similar issues in both bodies

@revcjackson @WmWeedon @HansFiene I like to think that something must have been up with Joseph that was common knowledge, but everyone back then were too polite/the Holy Spirit kept it from being put in writing. Explains so much, respects the fathers, & incredible 8th Commandment implications too.
