When you’re in a top-secret facility so secret that you cannot tell anyone what you’re working on, they were building the first A-12, which was built to replace the U-2. The U2 had been shot down by the Russians, but Kelly Johnson had designed something that they could not shoot down. It’s too fast and flies too high the first blackbird the A-12 but inside this facility was something even more secret they walled it out and then put a black screen on either side so that there is no peeking over the wall. It’s an YF-12 that’s been modified on the factory floor from a A-12 to carry weapons
