@_vmlops If this doesn't run on client machines then it is entirely pointless. I doubt anyone can get python docker crap running on client machines seamlessly. This should clearly be a JavaScript or c++source library not a python abomination
@Dark_Goldenrod@Franc0Fernand0 You don't need to nest and you can still return at the end using what is known as a variable. This is infinitely superior as you can add any extra logic or calc before the return and haclve only one return line to manage on case return type changes
@Franc0Fernand0@The_HappyPath Just set a variable called ret at the top to 0 and set the values of required and then always return ret. Then you dont have multiple return statements to manage if the return type changes or you need to do further logic on the return variable or clean up(not just memory)
@signulll And also shows another side: eventually if the price of apps goes to zero what incentive is there for anyone even try to produce or distribute them. All those app builders then have no income to buy other saas etc
@anon_opin Today someone sent a file in teams. Clicking download didn't. open in browser took me to web OneDrive showing a page showing the file exists. Clicked download in there to download It Then opened it...send file to chat? You need OneDrive...
@davepl1968 1) can't we just pay once
2) yes this. But also allow people to use it forever
3) opensourcing sounds good but will lead to a myriad of different UI styles and opinions. It needs to be very well managed
@codegirl007 If you were using existing libraries and frameworks there has never been much interesting coding to be done. Very rare is the implementation of a cool algorithm etc. mostly glue anyway, and Llms do glue really well, allowing focus on architecture and function
@BPSocialAccount@MechanicalStove@LegoKingo More "popularity" of search for specific keyword(s). For example "email" vs "email antispam server software". Even if you are selling the latter, and people exactly searching it, google prevents adwords displaying due to "low search volume". Even if you want those few clicks
@Yuchenj_UW All caused by the ego of other developers deciding that their new language with a new syntax will be better than those before. And that this new framework will be better than those before...ego wasted hours of time...
