An anime taught me to love myself harder than I ever knew, until I healed my own wounds.
I feel like I’m going to get that warm fuzzy feeling all through this season too.
I know that this weird state is because I really want a kind of love like that, where you keep finding and making space for each other one way or another, where you’re not hurting yourself compromising, but because you know 1+1>2.
I don’t even know how/where to start though.
For the argument that Sayonara Lara is going to be about Lara finding that love comes in many forms, wasn’t Lara absolutely LOVED by her family when she lived in the sea? Does she really need to go the human world to find that out?
The yuri signs don’t feel like they’re fully there yet for Sayonara Lara. Mostly, I just have a hard time believing that Mari has the headspace to fall for Lara lol. I’ll be happy if it is, but if it isn’t, I’ll just enjoy the animation.
「這個世界不完美,
我的音樂不完美,
我的人不完美,
但有了你誰還需要完美。」
“This world isn’t perfect, my music isn’t perfect, and I’m not perfect. But when I have you, who needs perfection?”
2026, still a little shook over a certain singer's sudden death 8 years ago, still listening to her songs. Sometimes I think - damn, I've been alive longer than she’s ever had now.
I have never been anti-children, it actually took a lot for me to acknowledge I like them and would like to have them one day. But for all the different reasons with things going on in the world right now, would they have a good life?
You know, I want one of those grand weddings with hundreds of tables just to say, this is the woman I love and would like to spend my life with, everyone, and I’d love for all of you to share that happiness with me.
But lol, I don’t even have anyone I like at the moment.
Maybe because to be famous you’d have enough of a blank slate for people to see what they want to see?
But I’ve always admired people with strong characters. It makes me feel that I could be loved too, despite all my imperfections.
Honestly I’m the type of fan who only likes idols and celebrities when they’re not too big. There’s something about going mainstream that makes it boring for me, like everything becomes vanilla if you will.
So I don’t know how to take this, it’s kind of like something I like and treasure will be taken away from me soon, whether by external circumstances, or by myself.
I’ve been thinking today while playing Splatoon 3, that it is crazy my memories in Splatoon 2 almost feel first person, as if I can smell and feel the air in the battles.
That game saved me during my darkest days, I’ll be forever grateful for that.
I spent thousands of hours on Splatoon 2 and I never regret it one bit. Even though I raged at times, my memories were of pure fun. I was so down and lost at the time, but the game helped me through it. Thanks for letting me spend time with these characters again.
