I watched Matt's latest video "Protecting Bitcoin From 51% Attacks" and I have one question for you @mattkratter... How many chain reorgs have I attempted since 9/1/26?

Let me be abundantly clear. Miner tag "CEO of LukeCoin" and "Test" belong to me and my pool. The first change was me getting ready to test something and trolling. Obviously CEO of LukeCoin is me lol. The second change was me testing something, which you will know what soon enough.

In Matt's video he references some of the Bitcoin OG's in the knots community who were around for what amounted to an "existential crisis" in 2014 when https://t.co/s1hTnBRa6s pool crossed the 51% network hashrate threshold.

How was this problem solved? The miners in the Bitcoin mining community pointed their hashrate at other pools until Ghash was well below 51% again. Hmmm, interesting solution there innit? lol.

Imagine watching a pool op try to execute the solution your OGs used whilst accusing them of being a bad actor. So weird.

If I were actually malicious and trying to hide my pools hashrate? I could do it EXTREMELY easily. Here is how I would do it...

1. Setup a cron scheduler on my servers to rotate the block tag once every 4hrs
2. Rotate my pools mining address once every 12hrs
3. Setup proxy servers I own and fracture the hashrate across them under different tags && addresses

I have done none of those things cause I am not trying to hide the pools hashrate or attack the network.

The only legitimate critique anyone could have at this point is that I am simply taking too long to get stably to 30% of the network hashrate. That would be a fair and accurate criticism. Everything else is just noise. I have not put together a full +36hr period of <30% since my commitment. The pool has been oscillating up and down touching 28% and getting as high up as ~42% in the recent day or two. Overall since my commitment I have spent more time above 30% than at it or below it. There is room for improvement here on my end.

Looking forward, I think there is a world in which Bitcoin (SHA256) exists, Bitcoin Cash exists, Bitcoin SV exists, as well as the new kid on the block, Bitcoin Knots (Blake2b).

Each day that goes by I learn more and become less and less naive about Bitcoin Knots and what the ecosystem is really about and who the power players and influencers are driving this thing.

I actually love the idea of opting out of the fiat system and separating money from the state. It is in fact one of the main reason I am in the space.

I take HUGE issue with this protocols claims about "Decentralization." On my spectrum? I would label them closer to a DINO (Decentralized in Name Only) protocol than a truly decentralized one. I would say D or C Tier at best.

Another massive pain point is I think a lack of developer bandwidth or perhaps just a culture of widespread low effort, low impact contributions?

For instance, why is there not clear, concise, accurate, and accessible tooling and support for integrating DATUM? Everything is hacky in this regard and all over the place, there is no canonical source of truth for it.

Why are you guys spending your time promoting conspiracy theory's and nonsense instead of releasing actually helpful educational materials towards this end and walk through tutorials showing newcomers how to setup Nodes and run DATUM (@mattkratter )?

If SV1 is so hostile, why is there more friction for integrating DATUM than there is for SV1? If this is the problem that you guys forked to get away from you would think this would be top of mind. There is just so much room for improvement and I think this protocol is intended to exists in the space for quite some time. So, why not just do better instead of wasting time on such frivolous nonsense?

Anyway, I find all this very interesting! I just whole heartedly disagree with so many of Kratters takes but I genuinely think he is probably a nice guy and means well overall. I would love to have a friendly discourse/debate live and in real time someday if you were open to it @mattkratter. Perhaps even our mutual friend Cguida could come too?😆
