With the NESCAC fully resuming conference play this fall, we’ll be looking to recruit some new writers. If you or anyone you know is interested in this great opportunity, shoot us a DM!
4: January 25. Conn fans, look away! Just when the Camels appeared to have sealed their first conference win since 2017, Trinity’s Christian Porydzy hits a prayer from the far free throw line to send it to overtime where the Bantams would prevail, 104-94.
1: March 1. Who saw this coming? In Colby’s second multi-OT 102-94 thriller of the playoffs, they catch the short end of the stick as Tufts senior Eric Savage’s three sends it to extra time in Medford, where the Jumbos would need two periods to capture their first ‘CAC title.
2: February 22. In another quarterfinal, underdog Bates gives Colby all they can handle, taking the Mules to three overtimes before falling 102-94. Colby freshman Will King’s 32 and 11 led a group of big contributions from their young talent.
2020 saw the graduation of some great players (Jefferson, Gilmour, Spellman etc). Who would be your POY this year? The list of options should be longer than 4; we’d love to hear some thoughts.
Happy holidays to our NESCAC community! This month hasn’t felt right without hoops. Who would have been your pick to be the conference champion in a hypothetical 20-21 season?
🗣”I’m not stupid...I’m not gonna play a D3 school when I know they can beat us. It’s as simple as that, there’s too much downside there ... There’s all different levels of D1 ... We’re all not vying to go to Omaha.” -Jim Penders HC @UConnBSB- Quote in clip ... Take a listen!👇
There's been a lot of talk about Duncan Robinson playing Division III basketball but not nearly enough talk about the logo of the Williams Ephs, his Division III basketball team:
If you’re missing NESCAC sports as much as we are, be sure to check out this documentary on the amazing run put together by the 2019-2020 Colby Men’s Basketball team! The film was very impressively put together by Alex Dorion ‘20 with some awesome footage
