R. E. Olds founded the REO Motor Car Company in 1904 after leaving Oldsmobile in 1902. REO, headquartered in Lansing, made its name manufacturing trucks and buses. We really enjoy the art style of these REO advertisements from the 1930s, part of our Wanger REO Collection.

Built in 1937, the Knapp's building has long been a major landmark in the downtown neighborhood. It's a privilege to breathe new life into this space and we're excited to share some construction updates soon! (Photo: @cadl)
