Hello everyone, this year we lost a big part of our family. Despite not being formally diagnosed my Grampy was impacted by dementia towards the end of his life so as a family we have decided to do the Bristol Memory Walk in his memory.

Ultimately the game was won and lost in both boxes, everything in between we were arguably the better side. Tolaj and Ballard summed that up perfectly, excellent all round play but completely clueless in the final 3rd.

Burnley not started well but with the quality they have you expect them to pick up at some point. We don’t have a great record there aswell. Hopefully we have more of a performance like we did for the last half an hour on Tuesday.

Really good communication from City, seen a lot of fans worried that this would turn into a Mehmeti/Vyner situation from last season but I think we now know that atleast if Knight goes in January that the replacement is already in the building. #BristolCity

The club and Jason Knight would like to update supporters following the end of the transfer window.

During the summer we together considered a variety of options which would be in the best interests of Jason and the club.

Terms on a contract extension could not be agreed and, now the season is underway, we want to put our energy into delivering positive results and are committed to moving forward together with Jason as First Team captain.

City Sporting Director James Ellis said: “Jason is a top quality player and we all share a desire to play at the highest level. Our hope remains that Jason achieves that ambition with Bristol City.

“Throughout our discussions this summer he has been collaborative and the absolute professional we all know he is.

“Jason is an important part of the club’s plans and he has been fully engaged in the changes we have made as a member of the players’ Senior Leadership Group. Jason is our captain and is fully committed to what we are trying to achieve.”

Jason said: “What’s happening at the club is really exciting and the changes being made are taking us in the right direction. We have built a new squad and I’m enjoying being part of that process.

“It’s an honour to captain Bristol City and I am committed to giving everything I can to make us successful.”

@RealBristolBoy Not doubting that he’s likely going but atleast we have a replacement in already, with the Vyner and Mehmeti saga we had to play a couple of games without them but also with no replacements in

@RealBristolBoy First of all, he’s not said he’s leaving. To me it seems like he wants to see how we start and see where we are come January. Even if he does go, we’ve been up front on where we are and crucially have the replacement in the building.

So I think we’re dealing with this better

Think this is a really good move to make sure he’s in the building when you look at Knight and even Williams’ contract situation. Wouldn’t think he’s fully fit as he hasn’t had a pre season but atleast our midfield options are stacked to deal with that for now #BristolCity
