🚨 At the 2026 Texas @GOP convention in Houston, Muslim delegates faced open hostility and efforts to push them out simply because of their faith.

In a join statement, CAIR-Texas and CAIR Action Texas said:

"What we witnessed at the convention was a dangerous normalization of anti-Muslim hate that undermines the foundational American principles of religious freedom and democratic representation. Texas is our home. Texan Muslims, like all Texans, have an inherent right to participate in our democracy. Weaponizing conspiracy theories and pushing platform language that selectively restricts the religious liberties of one faith group fundamentally undermines the rule of law and the constitutional liberties of all Texans. Hate and exclusion are not winning strategies.
"We call upon all elected officials, regardless of political party, to stand on principle and publicly condemn this toxic rhetoric. Leaders from across the political spectrum must make it clear that religious bigotry and the institutional targeting of public servants and grassroots residents have absolutely no place in Texas politics."

A man was arrested after allegedly threatening to “Kill all the Muslims and Jews” at Houston’s Ismaili Center.

As our communities continue grieving the deadly mosque shooting in San Diego, this incident is another painful reminder that hateful rhetoric has real-world consequences. Houses of worship must remain safe spaces for all people.

We welcome the swift arrest and urge community members to remain vigilant, document threats, and report suspicious or hateful activity.

Three people were killed at a mosque in San Diego yesterday. The victims only wanted to pray or protect those praying.

This is not an isolated incident. This is what happens when politicians spend years using faith communities as political targets. Words online and in campaign commercials don't stay words.

Within the past month alone: a man threatened to "kill all the Muslims and Jews" at Houston's Ismaili Center. A synagogue in Austin was vandalized. Different targets but the same motive: hate.

When leaders normalize bigotry, no faith community is safe.

To my Muslim and Jewish communities in Texas and across this country: I see you. I am with you. And I will not stop fighting for you.

Under Pete Hegseth's leadership, our military blew up an elementary school on the very first day of an illegal war, killing 120 children. Instead of taking responsibility for that crime, Hegseth has bragged about discarding the "stupid" rules of engagement.

In no other profession could someone recklessly (or deliberately) kill 120 children and then keep their job. Impeachment is the minimum step the Senate should take, but @SenRickScott has spent years making it clear he does not view all children as human beings worthy of justice. That's why he ignored Israel's kidnapping and torture of an American teenager from Florida.

Keep showing us who you are, Senator. We will, God willing, keep standing up to you and the crimes you want to fund with American taxpayer dollars.

This country has a long-standing system and rule of law when it comes to asylum and the immigration process as a whole. The administration cannot just enact policies that circumvent these laws and expect our justice system to not enforce the law. We are pleased with the decision by the court, and it only affirms that USCIS cannot decline to perform its duties to adjudicate asylum applications as provided by the laws of this country. @CAIRWashington continues to fight for our clients to ensure that they are afforded due process just like everyone else and hold this government accountable.

We welcome the arrest of those allegedly involved in this disturbing plot and commend law enforcement for their vigilance in protecting lives. Houses of worship must always remain safe spaces, free from fear and intimidation.

We also strongly condemn the hateful graffiti targeting a synagogue in Austin. Acts of antisemitism and all other forms of bigotry have no place in our society. Such incidents harm not only the targeted community but the fabric of our entire nation.

We stand in solidarity with our Jewish neighbors and reaffirm our shared commitment to confronting hate, promoting mutual respect, and ensuring the safety and dignity of all people, regardless of faith or background.
