Before being diagnosed with ADHD, I was constantly asked the impossible-to-answer “why?!” about how I thought and acted.
But people couldn’t accept that I didn’t know either, so I gave random answers to see what was acceptable enough.

@KDEdwards_NC@KDEdwards_NC I do think that asking these questions upfront and engaging the community goes a long way though. I inherently trust pretty much anything coming our way.
@KDEdwards_NC I think if the narrative doesn’t reflect their identity, it’s the equivalent of She-who-shall-not-be-named tweeting a character was gay years after publication.

Your non-existent end-of-year recap is fine. Being a writer isn't about generating constant success. It's more like generating constant trash, hoping something will burn as fuel long enough to move you forward in any meaningful way. Generate trash and set it on fire.
