Are we about to start bouncing our wavs to mp3 to get “that sound”?

There's something off about how clean music sounds now. Whether you opt for mp3 or try to mix it in, the artifacts and "lossyness" give music a human feel. There's something about your older music that was really pleasing to the ear, not that your new stuff isn't. It just had a sort of "Lo-Fi" texture to it. Some tracks I always go back to are SDS and Between Friends.
