As Governor Gavin Newsom and Legislature leaders negotiate California's 2026–27 state budget, we, along with community members, are hosting a town hall to make sure the voices of our communities are heard.
Join us TOMORROW in Los Angeles!
On Monday, #CAleg Assembly released their #CAbudget plan. Health and immigration advocates are deeply disappointed at the decision to double down on the worst of the @CAgovernor 's cuts and throw immigrants under the bus, particularly without the fiscal outlook to justify it.
It’s Election Day! 🇺🇸 Voting is a powerful way to have your voice heard on the issues that matter most, like immigration, healthcare, education, or climate change. Be sure to get out and vote today! 🗳️
Pride is for everyone. This month and every month, we honor the strength, resilience, and leadership of LGBTQ+ people — including the LGBTQ+ immigrants who make our communities whole. Every person deserves dignity, safety, and the freedom to live as their full self. 🏳️🌈
TOMORROW: Join us in Santa Barbara for a town hall where we will educate voters and constituents on key policy issues impacting immigrant and Latino communities during this important election year.

Today, we celebrate and thank Cathy as she concludes her remarkable 22-year tenure at the Evelyn and Walter Haas, Jr. Fund, including seven years as its President & CEO.
Cathy - the movement is stronger because of you. Thank you 💛
At our Immigrant Day of Action in Sacramento this April, Cathy Cha reminded us exactly why this work matters. Watch her powerful words on the importance of organizations like CIPC in the immigrant rights movement — and why we must keep fighting.
Earlier today, Gov. Newsom released his May revised budget proposal for the fiscal year 2026-27.
While we give the governor credit for funding programs that support immigrant communities, this proposal falls far short in investing in the health and safety of immigrants.
Immigrant mothers cross borders, overcome unimaginable challenges and sacrifice so much - all provide a better future for their children. This Mother’s Day, we honor their courage, resilience and love. Happy Mother’s Day! 💐
We’re proud to see David Huerta, President of SEIU USWW and BSP Board Member, take the stage at the Immigrant Day of Action Conference bringing forward the voices and lived experiences of essential workers across California.
His presence highlights the deep connection between labor, advocacy, and community, and reflects what’s possible when partners come together with a shared vision for stronger. Through BSP’s high road model, we collaborate with employers, workers, and community allies to reimagine what jobs can look like creating pathways that value skills, dignity, and long-term opportunity for immigrant workers.
As we continue this work, moments like this remind us of the power of partnership to shape a future where industries uplift workers and communities alike.
Together, we move forward committed to building that future one rooted in collaboration, shared vision, and the belief that all workers deserve to thrive.

Thank you @CALimmigrant for such a powerful Immigrant Day of Action 2026! We know that protecting tenants also means protecting immigrants and we must continue fighting all displacement of our communities! ✊🏽
