Group 2 held a highly successful SAREX at Livermore Airport on the 10-11 June. At the SAREX were 74 members comprising the Command Team, Comms, Ground, and Air. The SAREX completed 25 air sorties, and 15 ground sorties. Great job Group 2 on training to respond!

This afternoon C/Captain Cucci, Captain West and 1st LT Winter staffed a static display at San Jose State University’s Aviation Career day. They spoke to many young adults about the benefits of membership in the Civil Air Patrol and how to start a career in aviation.

At Watsonville airport, 75 CAP members from groups 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8 attended the SAREX and brought four aircraft and seven corporate vehicles. Members completed 21 air sorties and 31.2 flight hours. On Saturday, an sUAS member practiced their capabilities with the ground team.
