Automatic tipping now eh? Am I the only one outraged by this? Raise your menu prices, but your staffing costs are not my problem to subsidize. Nobody tips me, especially for just “doing my job”. The dude literally took our order, brought the food. That’s it. Y
Tipping for doing your job is not a tip. Going above and beyond, sure. But this BS expectation because “ you’re in the service industry?” What about retail staff then, fast food jobs etc. you waiters and kitchen staff do NOT work any harder than those folks. FO.
On the thesis itself — it’s well-constructed, but a few pushbacks worth keeping in mind:
•The “all four risks simultaneously” framing is partially rhetorical. The private credit gating is real and worth watching, but the semiconductor premium vs. 200-DMA and the IPO supply claims would need independent verification — those are the kind of numbers that get selectively cited in bearish narratives.
•The Buffett/1999 parallel is the strongest part. The relative underperformance of quality/value vs. growth is well-documented and historically does mean-revert — violently.
•Recovery times above assume buy-and-hold from the peak. Investors who bought near the trough saw dramatically shorter timelines. The math cuts both ways.
@TimeyinI I agree with your choice. No property taxes, no house insurance, $0 maintenance. And if you need to move - no realtors , no painful Loss on sale. I’ve owned a house since I was 29. I’m now 55. I think I would’ve done way better investing in the stock market vs owning.
@TechOperator I gave up gas in 2017. Pure EV since - and I drove a lot in those years…as in 50k average per year. All EV. And that was back when there were less than 1/2 of the superchargers than exist today. Never looked back.
@collin_ruth89 And induction is 10X better again. Easy cleanup, flat surface, kids can turn the knobs but nothing happens without a metal pan on the “burner”.
@SDembraski I did mine. This was my fourth Tesla, 1st with the screen protector. Jowua I think it was. Good purchase. Why? My fingers never feel sticky, they glide across the surface. Much less tacky and installation template made it a snap.
Yeah man. This is true. I literally felt testosterone leaving my body over a two weak period when I was 46.
Part of that means lower sex drive (which honestly I’m happy about - I think it was way too high in retrospect.). Another part means I’m more mellow (again, this has been a good thing).
The sad thing? I definitely can’t keep up with the young studs anymore in terms of physical stamina. One run down the hockey rink and I’m done
