Minister for Energy and Green Transition says years of under-investment have led to obsolete transformers which get overloaded leaidng unplanned and frequent power outages in recent months.

He says his outfit is replacing about 3000 old transformers to boost power districution after which stability should return. The replacements will lead to planned outages that will be announced ahead of time.
