The latest issue of the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology’s newsletter, The BarberCosmo Update, is now available.
It contains information for licensees, establishment owners, consumers, and anyone else interested in the barbering and beauty industry.
Barbers are licensed and regulated in California by the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. The Board works to ensure that barbers follow State law and infection control standards.
Attention: Products sold at the California tradeshows may not be within your scope of practice or may be illegal to use in your establishment.
Did you know? Manicurists are licensed to provide nail care. A manicurist cannot provide waxing or eyelash extensions.
A licensed cosmetologist or esthetician can provide waxing and eyelash extensions. Make sure your technician is licensed with the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.
