@AkyolinEnglish I mean, everyone is hating on the man because he proclaimed that Israel should have killed more kids, but anyone who supports Hamas is essentially a supporter of a "deliberately kill kids" policy, so they'd be just as bad.

@AkyolinEnglish How do you know? The old Jewish man clearly felt the vendor supported Hamas. Why did he think that? There are lots of Muslims in NYC - why did he target this van?

Was it random? Was it based on a Palestinian flag? Was it based on something more specific?

@WokoLocoUSA @KonstantinKisin @enricorego I hear these figures all the time! It's interesting that from a British perspective these are rather high salaries, a very solid income. In the States they're just "average". Yet we also see just as much poverty in the States, if not more so.

Besides, the civil servants had a rationale behind their behaviour, which is that it wasn't breaking any rules, and, since they weren't social distancing anyway, wasn't making any difference.

@Ibishblog C./ The claims that the election was the most secure ever, the refusal to allow Trump supporters to watch the counts, the changes in rules about receipt of votes, the invitations to postal votes and drop ballot boxes,... this increases, not reduces, suspicions.

@Ibishblog 5./ The very claim that he created a "web of lies" is itself part of a campaign, conscious or otherwise, to depict Trump as a dishonest master manipulator. It's more of a "web" since it comes from multiple sources. It's the very thing it pretends to denounce.

@davidallengreen @BarristerSecret 3./ As for the system, this tendency has always been both a strength & weakness of the jury concept. We applaud when William Penn is let free, but we bemoan the bias of jury's in 1920's Georgia. Juries are a good thing, but that doesn't mean everything they do is unproblematic.

@davidallengreen @BarristerSecret 2./ Realistically, the jury felt empowered to ignore the law on spurious grounds in a way they rarely do. They wouldn't reach the same verdict if the jurors liked the relevant dead person.

It shows the degree to which British society has become radicalised on this issue.
