🧵 Kenya has 61.99 million mobile data subscribers. Persons with disabilities access the internet at just 11%.
Today we are doing something about it. Today, in partnership with the @CA_Kenya we are hosting a technical workshop on Digital Inclusion for Persons with Disabilities and Emerging Technologies.
One agenda: close the gap. #DigitalInclusionKE
At Nokia's Global Executive Experience Center in Espoo, we held strategic discussions with Nokia's leadership on the future of Kenya's digital infrastructure under the leadership of H.E. President @WilliamsRuto .
Nokia has been a partner to Kenya for over 20 years, and that long-term commitment matters. As their leadership noted, the defining factor in the AI era will not only be technology it will be trust and stability. Kenya brings both.
The world is entering an "AI supercycle": data traffic is set to double over the next eight years, with much of that growth driven by artificial intelligence. Countries that fail to build the right AI-ready infrastructure data centres, fibre, and AI-native networks risk being left behind. Kenya intends to be among those who lead.
Our investments in data centres and connectivity are already positioning Kenya as a regional and continental hub for digital innovation. Partnerships like this one move us from ambition to delivery.
Kenya is open for business, investment and partnership.

Day One of the State Visit to Finland 🇰🇪🇫🇮
I had the honour of accompanying H.E. President William Samoei Ruto to Helsinki for the commencement of the State Visit to the Republic of Finland, where we were warmly received by H.E. President Alexander Stubb and First Lady Suzanne Innes-Stubb.
The visit marks a significant milestone in strengthening the longstanding partnership between Kenya and Finland, with a strong focus on the future of the digital economy, innovation, education, climate action and sustainable development. The signing of key Memoranda of Understanding on digitisation and innovation, education, the circular economy and bioeconomy, and climate cooperation lays a solid foundation for deeper collaboration in research, technology transfer, digital transformation and skills development.
As the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy, we remain committed to leveraging these partnerships to accelerate Kenya’s Digital Superhighway agenda, foster innovation ecosystems and create new opportunities for our youth and entrepreneurs. Together, Kenya and Finland are building bridges that will drive inclusive growth, technological advancement and shared prosperity for our people.
