I have tried several new projects this year with students in middle school Creative Technology classes and took some time to get them sorted in this online showcase! I am so proud of what our students are doing with 1:1 iPads! https://t.co/0svyUA3QVP
In just 1 class per, 6th graders learned about Neurographic Art and explored @Procreate App to discover custom paper sizing, time lapse video, perfect circles, layers, opacity, blending, textures, and brush options. Next, we will slow down & create seriously stunning iPad Art!
Talking to a public school colleague in another state and the middle schools in her suburban county have NO art elective options for kids. KIDS NEED ART. KIDS NEED CREATIVE OPTIONS. KIDS DESERVE BETTER! Sooooo lucky SVVS value and celebrate the arts & offer creative options!
We have a big Canva project coming up to showcase our volleyball travel team so 6G Intro to Tech students learned how to navigate in the app to create using bookmarks. We printed and laminated them in class for a fun take home item in the first week.
What a night! Huge thanks to the #StVrainStorm student drone team. Hundreds of teachers from all over Colorado continuing their own learning this week at @InnEdCO in Breckenridge- all wildly impressed with what our students are doing.
Taking inspiration from the trippy style of concert posters designed in the 1960s & 1970s, 7G Graphic Art students designed advertisements for our continuation ceremony we will have next month honoring our 8th grade students. These turned out great for a first time trying.
1st time in a new app- In a single period, class learned time lapse, symmetry, paper size, layers, opacity, smudge & blending, perfect lines, perfect shapes, creating color palettes, textures, luminance, fill, & exporting images. Ready to move forward with confidence! @SVVSDdts
7th grade #iPadArt students finished out q3 drawing their hobbies as legendary artist Peter Max might. Superheroes, soccer, football, and volleyball! π #StudentArt#DigitalArt#SVVSDart
Trying to learn a new digital art app because your regular digital art app is end of life is a challenging time for us in Creative Tech class. But the kids are giving it a go even though their teacher is struggling to lead them.
Looking for the best place where resources are shared for student projects using Adobe Illustrator. Please direct me to people to follow, groups to join, or sites to visit. Please help me get started!
7G #iPadArt is finishing the quarter with a big still life project they are putting their own spin on. I am obsessed with these crops if their unfinished project progress. #DigitalArt#StudentArt
Studying the style of @JamesMoir10, 7G iPad Art students tried out digital watercolors to paint chickens. Students learned that digital watercolor is no easier than watercolor with paint and paper. Love these cheeky birds! #iPadArt#StudentArt
