#OTD 4 January 1995 I started working for the Labour Party and Tony Blair. Twenty five years and four Labour Leaders later (soon to be five) I am STILL working for @UKLabour#howdidthathappen
Henry Nowak’s family have lost their son and brother in the most appalling circumstances.
Nigel Farage is exploiting this tragedy to create grievance and division.
It’s completely unforgivable.
Not a parliamentarian.
Not a member of the Shadow Cabinet.
And certainly not the Shadow Home Secretary.
Also missed “Ltd” off the end of Reform UK.
This is just not true, @ZiaYusufUK
NEW: Landlords and courts will get new powers to evict domestic abuse perpetrators from social homes, without the victim having to leave first.
Under legislation introduced by this government, perpetrators will no longer be able to use social housing as a weapon of control.
That's alongside building more homes and reforming the Right to Buy scheme, all part of our reforms to deliver stability for families in social housing.
Nearly 10,000 foreign national offenders have been removed from the UK since July 2024 - up 36% compared to the previous 21 months.
That includes nearly 100 murderers, 600 sexual offenders and hundreds of violent offenders, alongside thousands more convicted criminals.
Asylum decisions have quadrupled.
The asylum backlog is now down from its peak of 175,000 to 49,000 people awaiting a decision - the lowest level since 2019.
More decisions mean more asylum hotel closures and more illegal migrants removed or deported.
Another big rail moment today, as South Western gets its first GBR train.
Since coming into public ownership, a new fleet of trains has been rolling out, giving passengers more spacious, comfortable & air conditioned journeys.
We're building a railway you can be proud of. 🇬🇧🚆
Net migration down 82%.
Net migration is now at 171,000, down from a high of 944,000 under the Conservatives.
This Government is restoring order and control to our borders.
Could at least one journalist, just once, when one of their colleagues is brushed off like this, just step in and say “no, we are not moving in, because you’ve avoided this all week …” They’re too easily pushed aside
I know there is a lot of news around but can someone at the Beeb explain to me how a man they keep telling us might be the next PM getting an undisclosed donation of FIVE MILLION POUNDS from a Thai based crypto dealer (with a BS explanation about it being for lifelong security) is not even a news story when the man he wants to replace led the news for days over some glasses and Arsenal tickets?
What is it that the Conservatives and Reform don’t like about a Labour government standing against unearned wealth?
What is it they don't like about raising money for our state schools, our hospitals, our police, and to lift children out of poverty?
I’ve never been so shocked and disgusted by a Labour Party election broadcast.
No wonder it has been censored.
It’s because we didn’t use our own words - just those of Reform UK politicians.
It needs to be watched and shared so that people know who and what they’re voting for.
