Pa Odion Iruoje aka Sound President was one of Nigeria’s top producers in the 1970s and early ‘80s.

Iruoje is known for having signed the legendary Fela Kuti to major label EMI and acting as his producer throughout the early ‘70s. He hosted . @PaulMcCartney Lagos music camp back then tag King Kong Producer .

He featured in the Chronicles of Afrobeats it was an honor to have him present at the Lagos screening Preview.

His name is Pa Odion Iruoje Veteran Music Producer the King Kong Producer… He helped built a Platform that propelled Legends like Fela Kuti , Pastor Chris Okotie and Many more legends of our time . It was a moment of Joy for me to invite him and give him his unending Flowers 🌺 … He was the Area manager of EMI RECORDS back then and hosted . @PaulMcCartney during his visit for a music camp in Lagos Nigeria .

Chronicles of Afrobeats is all about our stories to be preserved, Protected and Archived for us now and unborn generations …
