Anxiety isn't a weakness. Depression isn't a character flaw. They are medical conditions, just like diabetes or high blood pressure, and they deserve treatment, not shame.
Hope is real. Recovery is possible.
A nation cannot keep demanding sacrifices from its citizens while delivering little in return. Public money must translate into functioning hospitals, quality education, jobs, infrastructure, and opportunity not disappear into debt cycles that deepen hardship.
The young ladies at @LoremiTours are onto something special - an authentic Acoli experience curated by @acholiglo. In the photo below, @akelloshiela1 simply exudes Acoli heritage and elegance.
The next time you are in Gulu City, visit @LoremiTours and book a homestead and historical tour with them. There is nothing similar to that experience. Thank you, @acholiglo, for the invaluable work of cultural preservation.
My friends @DNKibuuka and @CAjK have fond memories of our tours with you.

-Uganda Sovereignty Bill
-government says protection
-lawyers say danger
-debate intensifies
-Attorney General
Kiryowa Kiwanuka (@KiryowaKk)
-defends the bill
-calls it necessary
-to stop foreign interference
-senior lawyers respond:
-“you are wrong”
-not about protection
-but control
-core issue:
-what is sovereignty?
-government power?
-or people’s power?
-lawyers’ argument:
-sovereignty belongs to citizens
-not the State
-not the Executive
-the bill:
-expands government authority
-centralizes control
-over funding
-over associations
-over civic activity
-key concern #1:
-definition of “foreigner” too broad
-includes Ugandans abroad
-includes many institutions
-key concern #2:
-anyone receiving foreign support
-can be labeled an “agent”
-must register
-must seek approval
-key concern #3:
-heavy penalties
-up to 20 years in prison
-massive fines
-lawyers say:
-this is not regulation
-it is overreach
-it doesn’t protect sovereignty
-it reshapes it
-risk:
-citizens lose autonomy
-state gains discretion
-power shifts upward
-bigger fear:
-constitutional conflict
-Article 1 says power belongs to the people
-bill may override that principle
-economic angle:
-affects NGOs
-affects businesses
-affects diaspora remittances
-affects daily transactions
-the contradiction:
-law claims to defend Uganda
-but may restrict Ugandans
-lawyers’ conclusion:
-a law that limits citizens
-cannot protect their sovereignty
-final framing:
-this isn’t just a policy debate
-it’s a question of
-who truly holds power in Uganda
-and whether that is changing
God’s heart is torn apart by wars, violence, injustice and lies. But our Father’s heart is not with the wicked, the arrogant, or the proud. God’s heart is with the little ones and the humble, and with them He builds up His Kingdom of love and peace day by day. Wherever there is love and service, God is there. #ApostolicJourney #Algeria
Heartbroken for the mother I saw at @UgEquityBank Hoima Branch today. She sat from 1 PM to 4 PM with a sick, crying infant. Only ONE attendant was serving dozens of people. The system is broken.
When she finally approached the Operations Manager’s office at 4pm for help, she was told to leave because the manager "couldn't help much."
Since when is a sick child not a priority for quick service?
To make matters worse, an epileptic customer collapsed in the hall during the chaos. @UgEquityBank, you need to address staffing levels and train your managers in crisis empathy immediately. This is unacceptable.
No one was there to assist the mother on how to fill the form, as you can see, on expected turnover, the mother wrote a date instead.
Yes, the mother walked away hours later without service.

@NIRA_Ug@AttoGladys It’s even worse at Kampala central division offices. I have tried twice and given up on picking my ID. A person needs a WHOLE day!!
Senegal’s president casually updates his social profile pictures to include the AFCON trophy behind him.
How do you say “come and get it if you can” in Wolof?
