A new (old?) anime store needs to come to the rescue

Remember when it was common knowledge that anime/manga series seldom ever end well? They either rush the ending or end leaving you scratching your head. We never burned our manga in protest (or for clout)

[Chibi Reviews @ChibiReviews]

Someone has burnt their Oshi no Ko Manga because of the ending of the series. Sadly this isn't the first time its happened. We've seen this happen before with Tokyo Ghoul:re on Chapter 125.

The Chuck's Anime Shrine site is now 100% off the web host it has had for 20 years. Now running off the .@shrinetechllc's own hardware. Still some fixing to do but we won't let this site go away and will make it even better while keeping the old site as it was.

[Chuck's Anime Shrine @CAnimeShrine]

https://t.co/Io13t6Kn5n might be down for a bit with the nameservers but the WIP new setup and old site (with some links needing some TLC) can be found at https://t.co/QWK4RFQzHF until ready again on the main url

[Chuck's Anime Shrine @CAnimeShrine]

Chuck's Anime Shrine and it's databases, have been backed up and already running on a newer Docker/Nginx setup. After over 20 years, we have changed our nameservers. Excuse the mess as we clean up, preserve the original site and build a new one.

Thank you Globat for serving us

...an anime site that is a year older than 4Chan and has been on these servers for almost this long. The era of the internet with picture shrines sadly is now mostly gone, but like a shrine we will preserve it and make it a place to visit.

[Chuck's Anime Shrine @CAnimeShrine]

Today we are doing the migration of ChucksAnimeShrine's from the old servers to ones hosted by .@shrinetechllc. Site might be down for a bit but also will return with a new SSL and maybe, finally.. some new content while celebrating and preserving the old. CAS is...

It has been ages since we made an AMV, not since YouTube first launched and before. So amazing to see our sister site creating new beginnings. Like a Phoenix arising from the ashes. Hope to be part of that too.

>return of the blog
>return of the podcast
>return of the anime figure store
>archiving the now 21 year old pages to be a look back at the old web
>moving to a focus on d anime/media preservation and showcasing;a Shrine

[Chuck's Anime Shrine @CAnimeShrine]

For the first time in about 20 years, Chuck's Anime Shrine will be moving where it is hosted; going to be hosted/served on Chuck's own hardware.

There has been a ton of silence but behind the scenes, this creation of ShrineTech has brought this sleeping account back

Back around 15 years ago when we were selling anime merchandise in our store (was it really that long ago?! 😅) The yen was the opposite, the strongest in a number of decades. Roughly 83 yen /$1.

Maybe the anime store needs a revival 🤔

What do you say .@shrinetechllc?

[Edward Dowd @DowdEdward]

No math needed…today’s move in the Yen versus the dollar was at least a 3 standard deviation event. In other words rare.

Soon for us?

[ShrineTech LLC @shrinetechllc]

https://t.co/vXrJoB3x9b is now officially on a scalable cloud server. Though a very simple site at the moment, it's infrastructure/cicd pipeline are a boilerplate for a number of projects. Cloud agnostic is a goal in a number of our future plans.

Hey, I'm still alive and yeah, I know I made a post last year of my blog's "return" turns out coding full time and being a daddy to a young toddler full time is a tough schedule to work around 😅
