It's day 86 of asking the @CityofEdmonton to provide proper inclusivity and ableism training to it's staff, managers, decision makers and council members. It's also the 86th day of reminding them that when they refer to accessibility barriers as "inconveniences" they are undermining the human rights of persons with disabilities.

While training can't fix all of the ableism and discrimination in our city, it can help foster understanding and start conversations that need to happen. It can lead to the Accessibility Policy being effectively applied and steps taken to ensure that the disabled community is considered when making decisions.
