Fair, and I know that doctors are busy people. I do think, however, that knowing the patient and how they process information is probably important too. Sometimes the stress of a diagnosis or warning is just (and only) that- stress. Some people will take a proactive approach and some will lose whatever hope they had. Someone who already has high blood pressure and a baby she’ll soon be delivering might need a different approach. I don’t know that, but clearly this woman is upset and probably terrified.
It’s so disturbing to me how easily so many gay people seem to have fallen into the empathy trap. I am not one of them. The trans issue is separate and should have always remained separate. Instead they have clung with a death grip to the relative tolerance and acceptance that gays and lesbians managed and the ship is now sinking.
I have not had anything to do with the “community” in years. The adherence to the new social rules around trans ideology is reason enough for me to never entertain the idea of the community again. Sadly, the whole movement lacked necessary discernment to understand that trans and queer and all the rest of it was a Trojan horse. Now there’s not a great deal that can be done, and they’ve ruined a great deal of the progress that was made.
@TaraBull The state of the Democrat party is akin to a carnival freak show. This person should be nowhere near the general population, let alone government.
@RayPetelinWx@KDKAHeather I was thinking earlier today, this is what it was like when Pittsburgh was the “smoky city”. Probably not exactly, but my dad told me stories about growing up in the North Side in the ‘40s. I feel I have a better understanding of that today. What a nightmare.
@OliLondonTV@devorydarkins I’m so glad that someone is highlighting the need for gender-affirming care in the animal kingdom. Like, DUH!! I’ve had a purple-haired squirrel with a bull ring through its nose pestering me about its pronouns for months.
@OliLondonTV Yeah, animals routinely chop off body parts and have things added on to affirm their identity crises. All the time. Why doesn’t the media cover those?
It needs to be remembered, you should never wish for someone else what you don’t want yourself because karma can boomerang right back at you.
It’s disturbing to me how quickly we’ve gone from a society that at least pretended to believe all life has value to one where wishing murder and death on someone is perfectly fine. I mean, a kid kills a healthcare CEO and the internet is slobbering over him ready to venerate him as some weird sex symbol. The gleeful videos following the murder of Charlie Kirk were abhorrent and showed truly what kind of people (demons) were dealing with.
Margaret needs to check her hatred. It will fester inside of her and cause her far more problems than it will cause anybody else. I believe that the root of all illness starts with what we hold in our mind, and if it’s hatred enough to wish death on someone, that’s probably going to become problematic eventually.
