I now received books 2 and 3 of David John Pleasance and Robert Trevor Dickinson's chaotic "From Vultures to Vampires" saga. Once again, tons of pictures with no credit or attribution. Did a spot check, and nobody ever reached out to the sources to ask for permission!

Apple, Spectrum and other clones were common even in Europe well into the 1990s, but how does it matter? Amiga was and is fun. This book (like the previous one by the fake MD) reads more like a personal vendetta where the authors blame everyone but themselves.

Found some time to skim through Pleasance and Dickinson's latest book. Some good research, but leads to trivia overload, and events are disfigured by negativity bias.

And the usual attacks against Petro & Co. In an attempt to distract from their own acquisition failures, the authors do not hesitate to throw dirt at winning bidder ESCOM's partner New Star, by citing irrelevant Chinese copyright situation.

@eldeestephens Not for a single day my friend. He was "joint-MD" under Colin Proudfoot in the final months (after the US bankruptcy), but never MD. I posted about this in 2018 as I could not understand the claim, but now I know.

Fact or fiction? Please @danwood_uk (you promoted this) can you post UK Companies House records to confirm the claim that David Pleasance officially held the Managing Director title "for over 12 years"? For all I know, he was just a salesman. That he still is, I do not doubt.
