With the recent detection of African Swine flu in the Dominican Republic, it’s important that our AQI's stay vigilant to help protect our Agriculture from foreign animal disease.  This morning our AQI's seized 31 rolls of prohibited pork bologna smuggled in a vehicle at the PDN.

Just recently African Swine fever, a deadly virus affecting swine, was detected in the Dominican Republic.This is the 1st detection of the disease in the Americas in 40 years. CBPAS in El Paso are working diligently to ensure the U.S swine industry remains disease free.

Today, El Paso had a memorial for K-9 Jason. We celebrated his service that he contributed to this great country of ours. His hard work and dedication will never be forgotten.
