IPS for releasing Payment to Exam Centers for Board Exam 2026
The Integrated Payment System (IPS) is now live to process final payments to exam centres and functionaries. Schools are requested to complete submissions within the given timeline and ensure all details are accurate to avoid delays.

During the national-level webinar on #EarthDay2026, organised by Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, under the aegis of #EcoClubsforMissionLife, an awareness video was showcased to address the escalating environmental concerns.
With the theme “Our Power, Our Planet,” the video sensitised school students to the triple planetary crisis viz biodiversity loss, climate change and pollution. It also encouraged children to adopt mindful consumption, e-waste reduction, energy conservation and tree plantation.
School students were exhorted to adopt simple daily practices, including avoiding plastic use, carrying zero-waste tiffins and switching off appliances in classrooms when not in use to protect Mother Earth.

On 22nd April, 2026, Shri @sanjayjavin, Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy (DoSEL), chaired a national-level webinar on #EarthDay2026 under the aegis of #EcoClubsforMissionLiFE on the theme “Our Power, Our Planet". He emphasised importance of maintaining ecological balance and raised concerns over increasing pollution, growing climate change challenges and loss of biodiversity.
In a whole of government approach, Dr. M. Ravichandran, Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences, addressed the students and underscored the importance of sustainable use of resources. Shri Kartikeya V. Sarabhai, Founder and Director, Centre for Environment Education (CEE), delivered an insightful presentation highlighting concerns such as ocean degradation and microplastic pollution. Prof. Chetan Singh Solanki, Founder, Energy Swaraj Foundation, advocated for sustainable energy practices and responsible consumption patterns. Dr. Amarpreet Duggal, Joint Secretary, DoSEL, outlined actionable steps for school students to adopt eco-friendly practices.
The webinar witnessed enthusiastic participation of 1,44,689 viewers nationwide.

On 17th April 2026, Shri Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSEL), Ministry of Education, presided over the Project Approval Board (PAB) meeting for #PMSHRIschools of Ladakh, Lakshadweep, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh at Kartavya Bhawan-II, New Delhi.
During the meeting, he emphasized improving student attendance and strengthening provisions for Children with Special Needs (CwSN) through assistive devices, appropriate teaching-learning materials and the use of the PRASHAST App for early identification and support. Focus was also laid on ensuring quality education across all schools, supported by qualified teachers aligned with the National Professional Standards for Teachers (NPST).
Officials from the States/UTs and DoSEL participated in the discussions, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening the PM SHRI initiative.

The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the Training Theme for the session 2026–27 as “Computational Thinking (CT) and Understanding Artificial Intelligence (AI)” in line with NEP 2020 and NCFSE 2023.
A curriculum on “Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence” has also been introduced for Classes 3 to 8 from the session 2026–27, with a focus on logical thinking, problem solving, pattern recognition and ethical use of AI.
Schools are encouraged to organise activities, participate in sessions and nominate teachers for workshops as part of this initiative.
