We wanted to update you on our search for a new ambulance van.
When we began the campaign to find a new van, we asked our team to look for vans that met important criteria: 1) Final purchase price between €23-25,000, 2) a 2018 model or newer, 3) relatively low mileage, and a layout that could be safely and practically converted to carry our medical equipment and transport injured or vulnerable animals.

So far, vans within our price range are often much older, or have high mileage, or not suitable for conversion. In other cases, the van itself is a strong match, but the price is beyond our current budget.

The team is still actively searching and we are ready to purchase a suitable used van the moment we find the right one. At the same time, we are keeping the campaign open so that we can continue raising funds and remain prepared for every possible option.

We are deeply grateful for your support. We want to make the best possible decision as this van has to last us for a long time.

The moment we have news, we will publish an update and photos.

Meet Fable. ❤️

He is now safe with us, but he is in unimaginable pain.

He has a suspected broken hip/leg, a severe infection, a large fluid-filled swelling around his pelvis, and a massive open wound. We still don't know what happened to him—whether he was crushed, overloaded, or deliberately injured—but his body tells a heartbreaking story.

Fable is receiving emergency treatment, pain relief, wound care, and intensive veterinary care.

Please help us give Fable the second chance he so desperately deserves.

Aww, Cordelia... ❤️ You are so right.

Every single time I walk into the donkey sanctuary, especially if I'm rushing in for an emergency, the babies come running from every direction and simply won't let me take another step. 🥹 The adults do it too, but the babies... they completely steal my heart.

To be honest, there are times I forget why I rushed into the sanctuary in the first place because I get so lost in their hugs, cuddles, and little jealous nudges. ❤️

Our whole team loves them, feeds them, brushes them, and cares for them day and night, but for some reason they all want to be with me, especially the babies. I honestly don't know why, but I treasure every second of it.

I wish I could share every single moment with you. Those cuddling sessions are some of the happiest moments of my life. Dogs are incredibly loving too, but there is something so special about these little donkeys that I can't even put into words. ❤️
