No, it's not necessary. The oldest wallet linked to your profile is automatically set as your Designated Claim Wallet. However, you can change it to any other linked wallets.

5/ How can I change my designated claim wallet?

To set a different wallet as your designated claim wallet, star it in "Manage Profile" > "Wallets." Remember to hit “Save” and sign the message to confirm the change. A demonstration is available in the screen recording above.

We built this feature so that people with cold wallets (Ledger) don't have to sign with their ledger to claim -- they can delegate it to a hot wallet instead
