CC helps Canadians enhance the #health & #education of school children in developing countries through sustainable programs & accountable partnerships #HamOnt
Flood, drought and rising sea levels threaten sanitation systems – from toilets to septic tanks to treatment plants. Everyone must have sustainable sanitation that can withstand climate change and keep communities healthy and functioning. #WorldToiletDay https://t.co/FWllQbvMVW
After 15 yrs Connecting Countries is retiring. Each of our 9 Kenyan schools will sustain their latrines, tanks & handwash stations. Future WaSH projects will happen through an assoc’n with Rotary Club International. Thx to our volunteers & supporters- we are forever grateful! ❤️
Recently, our Kenyan project manager (Norah) delivered 5,760 books to partner schools in Nyandarua County West, Kenya. Each school received 640 books (storybooks, textbooks, dictionaries & atlases). Thanks to our supporters, and the efforts of Norah and her army of volunteers! 📚
It‘s been 1 yr since the sudden passing of our dear friend & Connecting Countries' director Eric Deys. Eric never physically reached the Kenyan schools he assisted, but his memory lives on; Connecting Countries dedicated its most recent latrine block in Eric's name. ❤️
State of latrine construction at Chaka Reli Primary school. Funds used for this project were raised during the Double Your Donation fundraiser held in December 2019. Thank you to all our donors who helped make this happen! ❤️
The latrine project at Chaka Reli Primary School is in its final stages. The workers are pointing the exterior mortar lines of the bricks and parging the surface to give the bricks a smoother appearance. The project should be completed early next week. #kenya#school#latrine
Check out the #latrine building progress at Chaka Reli Primary School in #Kenya! A short while ago the pit was being dug, and here are photos of the workers laying down a cement foundation. Great progress!
Children at Kanguu Primary School show off their new water tank, purchased with charitable donations from @reidcoolsaet and his @towaterfront42k supporters. Check out this letter to Reid from a student at the school. 😍
Thank you Reid for making a difference to so many. ❤️
We are so grateful for our donors, North American “partner schools” and Canadian businesses who have helped finance the building of over 185 latrines at Kenyan schools since 2005.
“My hygiene has completely changed and I’m more motivated to go to school. I’m not afraid that I’ll be excluded due to poor hygiene.”
We’re working to provide students like Rosia with improved school sanitation facilities so they can better focus on their studies.
