This past year, lives were uplifted and futures were strengthened because of the powerful collaboration between our dedicated staff, generous donors, and compassionate volunteers.
One of the families served through #AngelTree received her Christmas donation, and her reaction truly touched all of us. She was so overwhelmed with gratitude that she immediately asked to express thanks. This support meant more to her than words could explain.
ACA and PaintCare volunteered at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington’s SHARE Food Network, an organization dedicated to fighting food insecurity, last week.
Thank you to SHARE Food Network for hosting ACA and PaintCare for this wonderful event!
A special thank you to Pepco and its employees for their continued partnership, and to our volunteers who continue to give their time and help those in need of a warm and hearty meal.

Last night, our very own St. Maria’s Meals hosted its annual Thanksgiving Dinner. Co-hosted by @PepcoConnect, the traditional Thanksgiving meal, prepared by our KitchenWorks program, fed 300 people at a sit-down dinner at Pepco Edison Place Gallery in downtown D.C.
Yesterday evening, 25 volunteers from The Catholic University of America Busch School of Business served a warm Thanksgiving dinner to 165 residents at Adam’s Place Emergency Shelter.
Led by MBA Program Director Harvey Seegers, the team brought joy, comfort, and community to the residents — supported by the dedication of shelter monitors La Rue Bulluck and Shanita Johnson.
