@TweetsbyCoachP Only for the super elite talent is this true...coaches will find them. Everyone else; you better put together a good film & start emailing coaches...tons of them!
@fey_derek However...the vast majority of kids are wasting their money by playing in too many out of town tournaments & traveling. 95% wont make it to college & should just stick to local tournaments, camps & skill work during the offseason. Club ball has become a scam of a racket.
@fey_derek Every player we know in the central Texas area that's moving on to play college all did the same...HS ball, club ball, & training. 1000's of HS players vying for limited number of college roster spots. Even for D3, you gotta be a really really good player.
@fey_derek Unfortunately no. My son was a late bloomer physically. He needed all the gametime action he could get. HS ball, Club ball, & private lessons. He played club to be a better HS player. Just happened that he became really good to play D3. Gotta be a grinder to play college ball
@CoachKurzawski Lol comical. Not sure where you live or coach, but we work fundamentals, lift weights, play pickup games, & run fun contests in May here in Texas. They aren't sitting in the bleachers during the 90min athletic period. Lots of younger players don't play club.
@CoachLong_30 The D1's have there's...probably the D2's as well. Lots of good players gonna be left out in the dark bc they didn't start looking at D3, JUCO, & NAIA from the start.
@MattGrossenbach Embrace D3 & get your checkbook out. I think that's what holds back many talented players from going D3, in addition to ego. There's a lot of talented guys in our area still holding out for a D2 offer that won't find a home this summer. D3 is a legit option if you can afford it.
