‼️A warning to all South Africans ‼️
If Zimbabwe becomes a family dictatorship and dynasty of the Mnangagwa family, the influx of Zimbabweans into South Africa will be ten times higher.
The illegal immigration we are all debating about is caused by two corrupt political parties; Zanu PF in Zimbabwe and FRELIMO party in Mozambique.
If we want to reduce illegal immigration in this country we have to address the root causes in addition to:
🟥STRONGER BORDERS and
🟥STRONGER ENFORCEMENT of the immigration act.
Do not ignore what is happening next door because it directly impacts our country.
Do not ignore it because the corrupt Zimbabwean politicians and businessmen now are corrupting our economy and politicians with their cigarette money, gold mafia money and dirty dollars.
These two Zimbabwean crooks are trying to take South Africa down a path of disaster.
We must challenge @CyrilRamaphosa to cut all ties with Zanu PF and strongly oppose the banana republic constitutional amendment to give Mnangagwa endless time in office.
Who is this Wicknell Chivayo?
I have sent a letter to @CyrilRamaphosa asking him to clarify his relationship with this corrupt crony capitalist who is a person of interest in South Africa.
My questions to Mr Ramaphosa.
1. What is the nature and context of your interaction with Mr Chivayo as depicted in the circulated footage?
2. When did this meeting take place, and was it an official engagement, a private
meeting, or a social encounter?
3. Are there any official records, declarations, or disclosures relating to this interaction?
4. How does this engagement align with prior public statements made by your office
regarding your knowledge or relationship with Mr Chivayo?
We have an immigration crisis in South Africa because of ZANU PF leadership in Zimbabwe and the FRELIMO leadership in Mozambique.
To deal with immigration challenges which cost South Africa billions in service delivery we must deal with the root causes. ZANU and FRELIMO.
We cannot in any way as South Africa associate with or assist Zanu PF to stay in power by illegitimate means. We cannot support term extensions and dictatorships.
It is time to cut all ties with ZANU PF and its dodgy businessmen.
🔸You can’t increase fuel prices to the most astronomical levels ever known to us then lie that you’ve removed taxes. You haven’t. You’re profiteering and intentionally inflicting suffering on the masses. You think we don’t know that you’re the same people who own the fuel companies? Zvimwe nyarai. We cannot go on like this. This is why we say #NoTo2030.
We need new leaders.🇿🇼
The time is coming where Zimbabweans have to do to Emmerson what Lukeout Masuku did to Smith.
CAB3 is crossing the rubicon line.
A day is coming when the coward gains courage.
And to all those who say that I am not Zimbabwean because of the colour of my skin, may you find healing for the hate in your hearts. I don't hate you back.
And I challenge you to a dance off!!!🕺😂 Name the time and place. @AlickMacheso please provide the music.🎶🇿🇼🖤🤎💛💚
Operation Chiverevere. The message is simple - leave the constitution alone.
- One man One Vote.
- Leaders must come and go.
- 5 yrs is enough.
- Old people must rest.
- No to 2030!
As someone who has spent so much time defending the Zimbabwean government, protecting the image of the nation, and fighting sanctions imposed by the West, it's disappointing to see the image of the nation being trashed due to arbitrary arrests of opposition members who are merely debating a constitutional amendment that ZANU PF itself brought to the public for mandatory debate.
How can a few people tarnish the image of the entire nation just because they want to stop people debating a law that they proposed on their own, knowing that our constitution mandates the debating of the same law that they want? Why propose a bill if you can’t adhere to what is required to pass it? Why did ZANU PF give us this constitution if it doesn’t want to adhere to it?
Just a few weeks ago, Mr. @BitiTendai, a comrade and human rights lawyer in Zimbabwe, was speaking out strongly condemning our brutal persecution by the Museveni regime following the sham Jan. 2026 election. Unfortunately, as I type this, he has joined the long list of comrades in Africa unfairly detained by their governments for seeking freedom.
Biti was arrested alongside other freedom fighters in Zimbabwe for resisting attempts to extend the presidential term there to seven years and restrict the election of the President to members of Parliament only. It is disturbing to see this script, which Ugandans are already familiar with, being deployed in Zimbabwe as well.
Biti's arrest is a cowardly attack on all citizens of Zimbabwe by a regime that cannot sustain open debate about their future without resorting to brute force. I call for his immediate, unconditional release together with the colleagues detained with him. The people of Zimbabwe deserve freedom, and leaders chosen by them. The struggle continues!
I had promised my family that 2023 was the last time I would work that hard on Zim politics. I have 4 children and the youngest was born right before the 2023 election. It was stressful for me & my family but I said, let me push just this one time and then focus on them and my business.
I have largely managed to do that in the past 2 years. Then I started seeing this push to amend our constitution illegally. You start asking, "What are we going to do about this?" You realize time is moving and noone seems to be treating this with the urgency it demands.
You realize, maybe every one is also feeling the same way as you do. Now, if I convince myself that my personal comfort and needs are more important than the future of our children, why would I expect somebody else to feel differently?
That is how I found myself involved in CDF. I am only here to defend and protect the supremacy and sanctity of our constitution. That is why we specifically made sure the constitution of CDF is unipolar - starts and ends with the CONSTITUTION!
Generally, we gravitate towards people we have worked with before, but we don't represent everyone. That is why we left most of the positions in the Diaspora unfilled because we need leaders to emerge as we go.
We have been talking to many people. I have been responding to hundreds in my DM, that is not efficient. So, we have prioritized setting up a membership portal in the next few days so we begin to organize ourselves.
One of the things that is important is to remove barriers to participation. There will be no GATEKEEPING. It is really hard to talk to people we disagree with or even dislike but for the sake of Zimbabwe we have to. I have spoken to pple that I know are ZANU PF and it is hard, but for the sake of our country I have to swallow it and I know some of them have had to do the same about me.
My hope as we build for resistance is that nomatter where you are you will do something about the existential threat we face. DO SOMETHING, please don't wait for somebody because we don't have time!
SOLIDARITY is the lubricant of the struggle. Over the years we have seen people who have stood against the regime losing everything sometimes even their lives. We have also seen a lot of the people who sacrifice for change bearing the brunt on their own. Everyone moves on, but they carry the scars alone. It is painful and frustrating.
As we engage in this struggle to protect the sanctity & supremacy of our constitution, it is important that we plan and prepare accordingly. No person who stands up to the regime should have to stand alone in time of need.
That is part of the objectives of the Diaspora Federations of the Constitution Defenders Forum. At a bare minimum those arrested by the regime must not go hungry. Their children must not go hungry. Those injured in line of duty must not be abandoned. Those expelled from universities must not loiter as postcards for the system kuti "Unofira mahara"
In the next few days we will be availing systems for membership and fundraising. We will also build rapid response systems that make sure help gets to the Defenders as fast as possible.
We have many Zimbabweans in academia across the world, we know some of you are privy to opportunities we can use to ensure that if students are persecuted at Zimbabwe's universities they can continue their education outside the country. We need your help to smoothen the path.
If these amendments to the constitution are forced through without us resisting, what are we going to tell our granchildren when they ask us why our country is now the dustbin of the world?
It begins with just saying #NOTO2030
Constitutional matters call for a united approach. Anyone defending the document should be your friend.
The owners of this document are ordinary Zimbabweans not a few 100s in parliament and certainly not ED.
Speak up and defend our constitution.
You are sitting next to one of the most evil people in history. One of the most reprehensible and repressive leaders on this continent. We can’t continue to normalise and sanitise the crisis in Zimbabwe. Turn your back on this man and decline whatever blood gold he is offering.
It is constitutional to amend the constitution but if those amendments benefit incumbents section 382(7) read with 328(9) mandate a referendum.
One cannot get round this obligation by simply saying in the proposed amendments that “notwithstanding section 328” (as is written in the proposal) the Presidential and MPs terms of office can be extended. The mere use of the word “notwithstanding “ cannot avoid a deeply entrenched Constitutional obligation.
The central constitutional issue therefore is not so much whether a President is directly elected or elected by Parliament, but whether these sections can be amended without a referendum.
It is clear that the cabal seeking to extend both their own terms as Parliamentarians, and that of the President, are desperate to avoid a referendum- and that is the fundamental constitutional issue at play. No matter what semantic gymnastics are employed, a referendum is mandatory.
But there is another political question at play here. If these amendments do enjoy widespread support, and if they are truly in the national interest, then why is there such a profound fear of subjecting them to a referendum?
The answer is obvious- those promoting these illegal proposals know they will be rejected by a vast majority of the Zimbabwean electorate.
