CCEA and CCSB are meeting up at the virtual bargaining table this afternoon to further discuss teacher and support staff working conditions upon the return to school. The goal is equitable practices with health and safety at the forefront of the conversation.
The official recommendation by Superintendent Himmel was approved by the school board.
Masks will be mandated in certain situations for students in grades 3-12 and for all students on buses for the first 90 days of school as part of an emergency mandate due to the pandemic.
Every employee will receive a 5 pack of reusable masks from the Citrus County school district. The district feels confident that they have enough masks to get through the first nine weeks with no issue. They have also ordered 400+ face shields so far.
