We’ve delivered a lot in 3.5 years and I’m ready to keep doing it.
As Nevadans, we have repeatedly proven there is nothing we can't accomplish if we agree to work together. That’s the Nevada Way. That’s who we are.
I’ve laid out five pillars to build on our success and build a future we define together.

The School Organizational Team (SOT) nomination process began Thursday, August 20th, 2026, and will continue through 6:00 pm on Tuesday, September 1st, 2026. You can nominate yourself or a colleague to represent licensed staff members on the SOT. You must use your CCSD ID# to complete the process.
All licensed educators who received nominations will be sent a link to accept or decline the nomination. A nominee must accept or decline the nomination upon receipt of the email notification. The deadline to accept or decline will be noon on Thursday, September 3rd, 2026.
If a licensed staff member does not receive the link in their email, they can go directly to the SOT website https://t.co/GnJTzjlGH3 and click the button to nominate. You can also nominate, accept/decline, & vote directly on the SOT website.
Nominees who accept the nomination by the deadline will have their names appear in a box at the top of the ballot on Election Day. If an educator does not accept the nomination, their name will not appear in the box. However, all educators will be listed on the ballot, despite their names not appearing in the nomination box at the top of the ballot.

In the event of a tie, a “Run-off” election will start on Thursday, September 17th, 2026, and end on Monday, September 21st, 2026, at 6:00 pm.
The results of the SOT election will start to be released in the afternoon on Tuesday, September 15th, 2026.

From student to fellow educator! 🍎✨
Full-circle moments like this are why we do what we do. At our New Hire Orientation, our Board Vice President ran into one of his former students!
Erick Santillan graduated from Desert Pines High School in 2019.
Erick was part of the "Adopt a Jag" program, where teachers mentor student-athletes. He was Galdino's "jag kid," then became his student aide.
Now, Erick is a new CCEA member and will be teaching 5th grade this year! 📚🎉
Congrats, Eric, on helping to shape the next generation of students!
🎉 Ready. Set. Inspire. is here!
